latest optional media update

I have a banned for life 360 console that I got from a family member and I want to get the optional media update for it but can't because I can't get onto xbox live.

Does ANYONE know where I can get this update or how i can get my hands on it?I can stream video but I really don't want to.I just want to pop in a disc and go.Can ANYONE help me?

Unless you Jtag the console or download it using an XBL account on someone elses Xbox, then transfer the optional update and your profile to a USB drive and then put it on your banned console, it won't work.

Umm....how do you "jtag" a console?I'm just now getting the hang of flashing my drive..haven't really looked into doing anything else to it. Seeing how its banned permanently I don't see the harm in getting it do something else?

Is there any age requirement for the console? Does it have to be a gen1,2,3 or what?Thanks for the info.

The only prerequisite to Jtagging a console is it can't be past this update. if Its past that update then you can totally forget about Jtagging it. If not then you should still be able to Jtag it, though it goes into pretty technical things such as soldering diodes and other things to the motherboard. You'd get a more definitive answer by searching through google.

Yes I think the console is definitely past that 2009 date.It was flashed about 3 years ago.

I also looked up jtagging on youtube (gotta love youtube) and wow that is a process.It doesn't look all that complicated,just time consuming.

Guess I will be flashing with the new LT firmware and calling it a day.Thanks for the info.
