Minecraft 1.5 Timing out every server

Hey,

So, my problem I am having is pretty much stated in the title. When using the Digiex launcher with 1.5, everything works fine until I join a server. I will get into the server, it'll run perfect for about 10-15 seconds and then everything will freeze/lag, leaving me able to run around freely while everyone else is frozen and then the game says I timed out. What might be causing this issue and can it please be fixed? Something is wrong with my Java so I am unable to use the official launcher to play and I can't play browser because Optifine mod doesn't load on it. Please help!

Have you tried re-installing your java? I will try this out and see if its just your pc or if its everyone.
 
Sorry its going to have to wait until i get back to my windows 7 pc. It doesn't seem to be running MC on windows 8 for me.
 
Make sure you have to right version of Java installed. If you have 64bit window, install the 64bit version.

Try joining a server on Vanilla (without any addons/mods) Minecraft to see if it works.
 
Digiex doesn't seem to work with 64 bit Java and I tried a Vanilla Server. I was able to stay in for about a minute before it lagged and timed me out :\
 
Is the server on your computer or another computer in your house?

I'm having the same problem on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Java 1.7.0_17 64bit with my launcher (Minetowns server). I do not know what is causing this.
