My internet speed!

    Virgins 10meg business connection, with slower upload speeds than Virgins home connections.

    slower than 94% of GB virgin medias supposed to be 2mb

    except it speeds up to 2mbit midnight to 9am for some reason

    You are basically on a 0.5mb connection, if you download 200mb between 9am and 9pm your connection gets a speed cut by 75%.

    ow much are you paying for 2mb? i hope its next to nothing as you should easily be on 10mb!!

    my mum pays for it they make her pay £15 ive told her she is getting ripped off by them but they insist she has a constant 2mb line and we dont download much and if we do i leave it on through nite as restrictions dont apply then

    Yup BT infinity. but i'm not connected to fibre optic cable ! some spooky s**t going on to make it so fast on a regular phone line

    Well until everyone else gets on it and slows it all down :|

    Its Fiber to the phone cabinet on your street, the last bit of the journey from the cabinet to your house is still done on the same old copper phone wires. So now its basically the closer you are to the phone cabinet on your street the better speeds you will get.

    All BT need to do in the future is replace that copper wire and you have fiber directly to your home, which will easily give you much greater speeds yet again :)
