So, just to double check since I last did this for Titanfall. Since PayPal is now out of the question, all I need to do is get a US Xbox gift card, change my Xbox One to US, click "redeem a code", ensure I have a US address on my Microsoft account, and then buy the game? It's as simple that?

is it say to use india? then swap to another country so it unlocks earlier?
This is just my opinion... Playing games before release in you region just raise questions. It's not worth the risk (ban).
HAHA! Same here. I bought the "big bundle" from the US store. I'm am hoping that in will be available when it's 09/09/2014 in the US... I've even uninstalled it a few times. After uninstalling it the extras installed fine but the main game still says unavailable.
UPDATE: Looks like pre-order (digital) is locked to the region you bought it from and you won't be able to play the game before the official release date for the region you bought it from... Destiny is up baby!!!! : xboxone
I'm stuck at work so I can't verify but I know when I left this morning around 7am it still was not available to play but switching region states it will be on 09/09/2014.

Using this, are games locked to regions. For example, all my so far have been bought using the Canadian Market place. Now If I buy a US Digital download, will I have to switch regions and reboot my console to access the games from CA market and vice versa?

I can play games purchased from the US marketplace just fine when I have switched back to the UK market place, maybe with destiny if you tried to switch back to the UK for example before the game was released it might cause some issues. The US games would have unlocked a few hours after the UK because of the time difference i presume.

Hi I followed your guide and now I'm having some major problems. I bought Red Dead Redemption by changing my profile to US on the Xbox website and getting it cheaper. But when I go to download it the game completely downloads but after it's finished it says the file is corrupt and it shows up in "My Games" for a split second before disappearing. What do I do to fix this? I've tried downloading it a second time after completely deleting it and clearing the cache. I think the main problem is that my region is set to US when I'm in New Zealand, and apparently the Xbox does a check at the end of the download to make sure I'm in America and that must be what makes it corrupt please someone help me! I've wasted all my monthly bandwidth trying to download a corrupted game...

FYI, I bought my game online without changing the region on my xbox and it downloaded fine. The issue was the game will work but if online is region locked you need to switch to US for location to be able to play the online features of the game. KI will play online on either settings and NHL will only allow online with US setting.

Not for Canada, however Amazon will send the codes via email for the US. (Just put a US university address on your account) That might be the better region to use.
This guide is for the Xbox One, not the Xbox 360.
You have several problems with the 360, the main one been the IP address location checks take place when you download. You need to be downloading from a US IP address otherwise the download will fail and corrupt as you have found out.
The second is not all Xbox 360 games are region free (I think Red Dead Redemption is so you are lucky there) however you could well end up downloading a game locked to the NTSC region, which will not work on a PAL console.

Could not for the life of me get this to work via paypal. Ive asked a few questions here and didn't get any replies so i thought id go ahead and try it myself. I followed all the steps guys to get paypal up and running on the us account. In the commerse website i set up paypal for us account adding in the us billing address and all the details. It accepted it. Went to my xbox and changed the settings over and tried to buy a game. Get the same error as most people did with paypal.
Is there another option? I only have paypal and a debit card. I also created an amazon.com account only to realize that it only accepts credit cards and not debit/paypal. So that was out of the question.
I signed up to PC Game Supply - Digital Delivery in Seconds made an account added my paypal and i cannot find a 25 dollar gift card to test it on.
Has anyone from the UK who are in the same boat as me got this working? All i have is paypal.
I would greatly appreciate some help guys as im planning on buying fifa 15 and i dont want to pay the full price for the game. Thanks alot and hope for some replies.

You can do both... I uninstalled Destiny (bought from US) and just downloaded it straight from UK store.

The only issue you may run into is if the online portion is region locked. You would need to switch back to the country setting you bought it in to play online.
