Got a PC game that only understands the Xbox 360 controller, and a gamepad, joystick or steering wheel it ignores? x360ce sorts that out. It sits next to the game's program and presents your device to the game as a genuine Xbox 360 pad, with every button, stick and trigger mappable, force feedback included. It's a long-running project by Jocys.com.

Download x360ce 4.24.60.0
Careful: some games and anti-cheat systems block the helper files x360ce adds, and online games that forbid modified files can ban you for it. Leave it off those.
If you'd rather use real hardware, the drivers are here: Xbox 360 Accessories Software 1.2 and Xbox One Controller USB Drivers for Windows.

- Extract x360ce.exe into the folder that holds the game's own .exe, the one that actually runs the game.
- Run x360ce.exe from there. When it offers to create the missing files, say yes, and let it search for settings online if asked.
- Pick your controller, map the buttons on the pad diagram (or use Auto), click Save, then start the game.
