If you play your Xbox games from the hard drive, XBMC4Gamers is the dashboard that makes a big library bearable. Rocky5 built it on XBMC4Xbox but pointed it at games: your collection shows with artwork and synopses, each person can have a profile behind a login screen, and there's room for emulators, trainers and Insignia. It also carries a handful of tools, including DVD2Xbox, a file patcher, an XISO installer, an artwork installer and a URL downloader.

New in 2.3.000, released 14 July 2025:

• Database maintenance in the XBMC4Gamers settings scripts menu, to update and clean the database in one go.
• Wallpaper, render size and quality can be set in XBMC4Gamers Settings > Other Options.
• Network settings are shared across profiles when the login screen is enabled.
• A new Insignia script that shows current sessions and upcoming events.
• Custom paths and extensions for the startup playlist.
• UDMA information in the system info window.
• Dialog and context button images can be recoloured from the colour XML.

Setup:

1. Copy the XBMC4Gamers folder to your Xbox's hard drive, for example E:\Dashboards\XBMC4Gamers\.
2. Launch default.xbe from your current dashboard.

Tip: only set it as your boot dashboard in your softmod or modchip settings once you've run it from the old one and seen it work. That way there's always a dashboard to fall back on.
