Want online play back on your original Xbox? Insignia is a free replacement for the original Xbox Live service, and the Insignia Setup Assistant sets your console up to connect to it and links the console to your Insignia account.

Download Insignia Setup Assistant
This is Insignia's official release of 19 January 2025. The download contains two files:
A stock (unmodded) console needs a separate stock.zip, which Insignia provides on their own release page: https://github.com/insignia-live/setup-assistant-release/releases
You also need an account on https://insignia.live. Follow the on-screen steps in the assistant, then sign in from any supported game.
Tip: once you're online, our Xbox Live DLC installers add the downloadable content that was available on the original service.
