is there coming a video codec update as well? It would really be nice to play MKV-files on my xbox the media support is shit at the moment

They'll never update the codec more than it has been. If they did, they'd lose out on money people could be spending on the Zune Marketplace. Best way to get MKV running is to use something like Playstation Media Server or Orb and stream the MKV file from a PC to 360.

you can also remove the dashboard update by using this in the memory section (LB,RB,X,LB,RB,X) then use the usb

It got rid of the avatars... can It remove the entire update and go back to the present-day dashboard?

It removes the update files.That does not revert the xbox 360 to any lower dashboards.

that sucks... well i use a mac at the moment (I had to buy one for school...so i bought a black one from 2007) is there any program for mac to stream MKV files to my xbox?

THIS is the final version of metro dashboard

live tv tab has gone live so im presuming this is now the final dashboard and alot of other testers also think that as it is pretty much 100% stable and all the marketplace and apps work

yes. this is what i did... 1. gone into system settings then memory and done the button code a thing popped up and i chose yes. 2. put the usb in with the update on it and reboot the console. 3.console boots up not asking me to update and i am still stuck with no avaters

You guys aren't missing much. As said before, it does nothing right now. I guess it's only useful for those with live access. The past few updates have been almost identical, I only noticed a fix in 2.0.14696.0. I wonder if new security checks have been implemented?
