I had actually installed the 2.0.14.696.0 update last night thinking it was final, before I went to bed. Then learned when I woke up that 2.0.14.699.0 was the newest dashboard. After I couldn't connect online. Then the delays with the dashboard getting released. I just kept checking online to see when it was coming out. At about 5pm I started to power up my 360 every hour to see if I would get the update. Then finally at aroun 7-7:30 EST I just prompted to download 2.0.14.699.0. Using the new Netflix App right now.

Jealous! I keep booting my XBOX every 30 minutes or so, waiting for the glorious button to appear haha. It does make me a little more comfortable that it came up for you even though you installed an update last night and weren't ale to go on live (I did the same thing)
 
Just got the update. Not everyone gets it the same exact time so just wait a little bit longer and QUIT FREAKING OUT. If you can't connect to live, you just are getting the update issued to you yet, just a little longer and you'll get it.
 
okay fot the netherlands there is nothing new about this update for us it's shit.... we don't even have a music tab....
 
Thats a bit crap if its only update to 2.14699 iv had this for a week now so where is the white background you see in the pics.

The previous one was more gamer-friendly.:)

Agree. Don't like the "Games" section, no seperate section for games, demos, game-videos and etc., now all bunched together. This update definately is for Kinect operation.
 
its pretty easy to use us beta testers have used it around a month now you will learn to use it in time tbh i prefer it
 
Updated to final metro dashboard through Xbox 360. It updated my gamerscore w/o any problems (https://digiex.net/help-center/console-help-center/9655-modern-warfare-3-gpd-issue.html#post51909). Love the new look. Booted one XGD2 non AP25 Backup nicely. However, I Will not load mw3 and ac: rev until the new abgx is out. When it is out along the LT+ 3.0 that 0800 rips will get patched and re-burnt (once and for all)and hopefully it will be just like 2009 when we used to happily rip and burn our backups. :D

But if not, I will kiss goodbye to offline backups.

Still, the best thing of this new dashboard is yet to be released, and that is, YouTube and etc.

No offence but Sony doesn't give a shit about adding useful features to PS3, I've updated my PS3 Slim to 4.00 and the features are for PS Vita, the hell, I don't have one now nor were those features useful.

Give us something like Microsoft is doing, Sony!
 
Microsoft changes the dashboard way too much the last design was good and was easy to find content.It's a xbox 360 not a tablet or pc.

Technically speaking, Xbox is a PC.

I've come to prefer this dashboard now but it needs to be organized like the previous one.
 
If you want to get really technical. Every gaming system out there is a PC running specific software. Even the Atari can count as one.

That's true.

Xbox is a PC but first a console, and as a console it should have a more gamer-friendly interface, but I'm happy with this one so I don't mind. YouTube on 360, can't wait! :)
