Hello! I’ve been having issues with a 360 I’ve purchased a few hours ago. It’s fine and works well, but it’s hitting me with a prompt to update, and when I do so, it says it failed and I’m met with this “Status Code: 3CD6 - 4497 - 1600 - 267F - C000 - 0185”

I went to this forum and found a download for a USB to install into the 360, hoping to fix it. it still gives me this error. The consoles version is D: 2.0.15574.0

Am I missing something, or do I need to install an older update before I can install the most recent one? Thank you for your time in advance.

Do you see the avatars on the dashboard? if not you could try restoring running the 15574 update for the system update you are currently on from usb and see if you are able to restore them.

Is this a 360 with 4gb of internal storage? unfortunately this EMMC storage is starting to fail on some consoles.

I see an image of avatars on the dashboard, not an actual avatar. I can’t login to my account until I update the system, so that’s why. I’m trying this without any account. And the storage is 250GB

I made a profile and I’ve managed to reinstall the update I’m currently on, but I can’t install any of the updates after this one, even the update directly after.

Is it a 360 with 4gb of internal storage? my guess is that storage could be failing.

On the dashboard if you go to Settings > Storage it should show any storage devices present, including any internal storage.

the Memory Unit has 3.0 GB. Capacity. It’s for 1.1 GB left free, thought I haven’t installed anything.

You could try format the memory unit and see if that will let you update after, or even if you can format it (I think the option should be there if you press Y on it when in Settings > Storage).

If you can't format it or it thinks random space is still used it's probably the EMMC (internal storage) failing that is giving you issues.

This video here from about 30 seconds in shows this problem:
