I'm using a NTSC copy of the game. I downloaded the rar again, copied the installer using SMB and I get the same error. I will try the burn method tomorrow and let you know. I already bought another copy of MM3 on eBay
I deleted all files in the T:\DATA\45...002 folder, tried the burn method and the installer went through without issues. However, I still get the message telling me that the DLC was damaged and will be deleted...
Do you think this could be related to some sort of cache files or saves? Should I delete all savegames, dashboard and remove softmod and do the softmod again?
I could download the DLC on Live myself, but I'm not very familiar with it and not subscribed. I heard MS is stopping support for xbox on April 15...
Send me the default.xbe from your game. That will at least help me determine if it's a version or signature issue. Honestly you're the first person I've seen complain about that installer. Unfortunately though, neither AmyGrrl nor I have a copy of that game. I will keep my eye out for it though.
I may be slow with responses for a while, as I'm working on some other projects such as getting these installers working with a patched xbox1 emulator for 360, and trying not to play Perfect Dark nonstop till I pass out...among other things.
Well I couldn't find any version, key or ID problems with the default.xbe you sent me. So What I propose is a temporary solution, which is the old way of using DLC. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PZ5YSZLV
Download this default.xbe, it's a modified title update XBE that should ignore content signatures. Rip your game to hdd, and replace it's default.xbe with this one.
If it still says you have bad DLC, something is wrong with your files. They are getting damaged/changed somewhere in the process of copying them from the rar, to your xbox hdd.
If the DLC works fine after this. Something is wrong with the signing. Possibly a virtual eeprom problem, or some other unseen version incompatability that I don't see.
I've also asked AmyGrrl to look into your issue, because frankly she's way smarter than me to when it comes to the xbox file system, kernel etc.
I still haven't got my AR in the mail yet (going to message the seller right after this) but I'll let you guys know when I get it.
What softmod distro should I use that will let me FTP from a gamesave but not actually install the mod?
Also, on the master list it stated that WWE Wrestlemania 21 has a title update...I got the game today and hopped onto LIVE without a prompt to update. Did it ever actually have an update or did they pull it?
I imagine they pulled the update because it corrupted all the savegames.(intentionally no less) I downloaded it myself with a retail copy of the game so I know it exists. You have to actually log onto live in the game itself for the update option to pop up.
If you get stuck with no AR, and you have a mem card, you can mail it to me and I will happily mail it back to you with a softmod save on it. If you're still missing the mem card, divineo.cn or .ca still has them for cheap.
I use Krayzies Ndure 1.1 or 1.1.1 If the UnleashX menu doesn't let you setup an FTP server. I know the mini version of Evolution X (backup eeprom option in main menu) lets you run one.
Weird, they must've pulled it then. I logged into Live through the game and it didn't prompt an update...I've never played it before so it wasn't already on my HDD.
I'll definitely take you up on the memory card thing if the AR doesn't show...I'm going to give it another week before I file a claim.
Download this default.xbe, it's a modified title update XBE that should ignore content signatures. Rip your game to hdd, and replace it's default.xbe with this one.

I've downloaded the RAR again, burn it to a new DVD using Qwix and Imgburn. I ripped my copy of the game to the HD and replace the default.xbe. I still get the error message!! I have 2 copies of the game and it does the same thing. I even downloaded the ISO of the game from the internet... I've tried everything, FTP, SMB, CD, DVD, rip to HD, remove and softmod again. No matter what, I still get the error.
I'm thinking that the DLC files might be corrupted as I'm not the only one that experience that issue if I look at a few pages back. I also successfully installed DLCs for other games without issues.
I really want that DLC to work, so I'm trying to find a xbox live subscription code to get the DLC from there... if it's still possible...
Well unfortunately it comes down to this. I don't have a retail of the game, I don't have xbox live anymore, I can't get a fresh copy of the DLC period. I put a LOT of money and time into this, and nobody wanted to help when I was doing it. So there's no way in hell I'm going to try to get xbox live again, even if I could afford it, which I can't.
So I need someone in the community to help and get me more copies of this DLC. Preferably freshly downloaded from xbox live.
I really hope you're not referring to Toxedo-Toxic when you say "a few pages ago", seeing as that was page 6 and he spoke less english then your average telemarketer.
If you HAVE A retail, I might have some trial codes I can send your way to try to make an xbox live account, but beyond that there's really nothing else I can do. This screams Virtual Eeprom problem to me. You could try installing it with "professional mode" or whatever virtual eeprom off mode you have for your softmod. If you have a modchip, there's nothing I can do to help you with that at all.
I know for a fact that the DLC DOES work. As every single installer was tested by at least 1 person (usually 2 or more) before AmyGrrl and I put them public. I believe at the time I even had a copy of that game on my HDD. I'll download the game again tonight and see if I can find any weird incompatibilities.
Also, whats your source for the DLC? If you're not using one of the original files from the torrent I created, or the copy from digiex, you're wasting my time. A LOT of people got this DLC from a bad source and laid blame to me for their problems. Make sure you get the version with the proper readme file, with contact information for AmyGrrl and myself at the bottom. The copies without that contact info were ripped and modified by some asshole who really caused us a ton of grief with bad repacks and such.
So to review, I'm grabbing the game again to see what I can find compatibility wise. If I get a fresh copy of the DLC, I can compare to look for any issues (which we have NOT seen in the past) and then release a new installer. You need to inspect your console setup, or try on another console, and make sure you have the installer from a reputable source. If you want my help getting on xbox live, I'd be happy to provide it. But please don't quote people who can barely type their own names for help sources, it just a waste of everyone's time.
After MUCH MUCH TONS LOTSA A MEGA AMOUNT of trial and error, the CDX installers are running in the Xbox1 emulator for Jtag'd xbox 360's. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XJJJCE5X that's the emulator required for it. Special thanks for xorloser for his mad patching skills, as well as dstruktiv for making it public. I have no affiliation with these good folks, I've just been trying to get the DLC to work on my jtag'd 360. Running Hunter the Recking: Redeemer right now with the DLC installed from my recent installer, AND that game is NOT on the bc list.
The installers need to be patched to work, and xbox Live Arcade doesn't want to boot because of the titleid. Also can't really change the titleid for XBLA because it needs to find it's installed games somewhere. I'll have to find a workaround for that later. As for the installers, once I'm done the current batch, I'll start working on a disk set for xbox as well as 360 filled with installers (will be at least 2 disks due to the unpacked DLC size) for mass consumption.
Too bad it's too much of a "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" situation when informing people that you can still play any original Xbox game online that has System-Link, with XBC and Xlink.
The playing on kai and XBC people will figure out. They'll have a chance to play once live in gone. The DLC however, whatever I don't have done, once it's gone it's gone FOREVER. So if you can, here's the list!

I'm waiting on someone with DLC saved up that can't access it till may, but after that I intend to wind this down permanently. I'll keep up on installers till then, but I can't keep this project going forever.
Comparing NTSC and PAL versions of the older EA sports games is quite interesting, as the PAL versions of the following have ZERO XBL connectivity:
Madden 2005 (NTSC box does advertise content download.)
NBA Live 06 (NTSC box does advertise content download.)
NBA Live 2005 (NTSC box does advertise content download.)
NHL 2005 (NTSC box does advertise content download.)
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005
NHL 06 (NTSC advertises content download, while PAL does not.)
All-Star Baseball 2005 (I bought this tonight, downloaded the update+rosters to my 360, and I can borrow a hard drive transfer cable -- there is no area for DLC in this game.) NFL Fever 2004 (I've owned this forever, I get 'Xbox Live is not responding. Please try again later.' when attempting the update. I had this same problem with Splinter Cell one night, and then a few days later tried it again and it worked fine -- I'll try this again tomorrow.)
I don't have an OG Xbox with LIVE, so cross-checking your list, with the 360 BC list, and what is available at my GameStop, I should be able to pick up ESPN College Hoops 2K5, High Heat MLB 2004, and NBA 2K3.
Cross checking what I own, and what I've downloaded from here, I see the latest installer for Return to Castle Wolfenstein does not have the update. Do you need this? At the same time, what other game updates do you need/not need?
I made a list of A-K titles that have LIVE strips that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere if they have updates.

It's good to know your non-EA game list is so short, because those EA games have had their servers turned off for years now, like I said I appreciate what you do here, and I'm in the middle of getting myself a new replacement OG Xbox, but will not have it in time for the 15th.
Well I'm glad you've decided to help out, we don't often get people with that attitude
Well first, not all live games had a live stripe, the first, and a few later on had stamps on the case (like Splinter Cell) or just a sticker on the outside of the plastic. Also most sports games don't have a "Download DLC option" it usually says something more like "Roster Update" or "Get New Rosters". it's tricky to find sometimes, really annoying.
Seconly YES EA IS EVIL! They shut down live servers for older games to give more bandwidth to newer games, then still host crap laggy servers for new games. How does that make sense? Try playing Army of Two online, it's a joke.
I could certainly use the Wolfenstein TU and any other DLC or updates you have. Our sources weren't always perfect for the original games we had so verifying the dlc with a second source really helps. So many of the old installers have DLC from OXM/Exhbition/Special Edition etc disks I'm not even sure what TU's we might be missing. I'll try to make a quick list from memory.
Armed and Dangerous
Full Spectrum Warrior I think we got from disk and live, but not sure
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee
Ghost Recon Island Thunder
MX Superfly
NFL Fever 2003
Phantom Dust
Run Like Hell
Secret Weapons Over Normandy
Star Wars KotOR
Star Wars Republic Commando
ToeJam and Earl III: Mission to Earth
That's all I can think of offhand, but send your whole tdata folder over anyway, could always use more to compare by.
Finally the game list is really set in order of importance, sports games DLC is really redundant regardless with a new version coming out the next year. Where the other games it actually adds something new that you wont see with a re-release, hence the levels of importance.

America's Army: Rise of a Soldier
Area 51
Atari Anthology (NTSC-U + NTSC-J only, PAL has no LIVE connectivity.) ^Got it the month it came out, it allows you to upload your scores just as you can with the Midways Arcade Treasures compilations
...
Flatout ^Talked about both before many pages ago, both 1 and 2 have no DLC what so ever.

I gave you my copy of the Wolfenstein and UC1 TU (you updated the UC1 installer with it already be it with mine or somone elses) but the more sources the better.

Full Spectrum Warrior I think we got from disk and live, but not sure
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee
Ghost Recon Island Thunder
MX Superfly
NFL Fever 2003

Run Like Hell
Secret Weapons Over Normandy
Star Wars KotOR

ToeJam and Earl III: Mission to Earth
I picked up Phantom Dust a few weeks ago, soild game. Here is a fan site and on there it has a full list of each skill that was in the skill update 1.10 and 1.20, no mention of a TU but you can always ask on the forum. Phantom Dust Skills // xboxphreaker.com
Full Spectrum Warrior (No TU to be found, but two free DLC - Epilogue 1 (2588 blocks) and Epilogue 2 (2804 blocks))
(Madden 2002)
(Madden 2004) NBA 2K3 (No TU, but four different rosters (4/29/2003, 11/5/2002, 1/17/2003, 2/28/2003, 32 blocks each)
NFL Fever 2003 (Oh what the hell, 2002 and 2004 are BC but not 2003?)
Secret Weapons Over Normandy (I swore this was on the BC list too but I must have been high.) Star Wars Republic Commando (No TU to be found, but one free DLC - Hangar (8 blocks) (Side note: I clicked quick match to test the lack of a TU, and I actually just found a Team Deathmatch at 4:20pm lol)
I know that isn't much but it's one less sports game, and a later verification of two games.
If anyone wants to seek out sports games that aren't BC, they are only 99 cents at GameStop before the 50% and EDGE, making them 39 cents. The four sports games I got today cost me 39 cents apiece + tax.
