Xbox Offline Xbox Live Downloadable Content [DLC] Installers

You're sure that's what you download in the download rosters screen? Looks more like a cached roster from the game itself. I don't even think I can get CDX to copy that properly.

The game merges the rosters when you download, I can delete the data and check again if you'd like, copying the folder post update and after I redownload the rosters.

Attached the 4d53004d folder after downloading the update, without downloading the rosters, base.dat is slightly smaller.

Not trying to be a dick or anything, just making sure I'm doing this correctly, and going over it with a fine comb :)

Edit: I think netusers.dat can be deleted, as it's just my profile for online play.

Oddly NemVitzh the content DOES work, it's just not on all consoles. I know it worked for me because I had a copy of the game at the time. That being said, I'll take reputable sources that have PROVED their worth (like yourselves) over people who've I've only spoken to about in brief passing. In short, thanks for the contribution again:)

tw3nz0r I can make an installer for the TU, but the roster file like I said is from the disk (obviously with added data from the internet.) So I'm betting the way it's designed, it can likely just be put on any xbox as is. So I can either screw around with CDX to try to make it work, or it can be just ftp'd over to that folder and should work fine (as long as the TU is applied, and the game has been run before). So I'll make the installer if you guys can test it.

Sounds good to me, I think the most important part of it is the TU, as these are outdated rosters anyways. I suppose if you throw the base.dat into the rar itself, that'd be good enough, however if you get it working with CDX, more power to you :) Either way, good stuff.

I should have a modded system in my hands to try it out on within 24 hours if you want to make an installer. I need to hit you up on MSN for additional testing if you need me for anything. (I can't get Pidgin to work with MSN for crap, which is why I originally registered here in the first place)
 
You probably don't have to worry about the "Intstallers Requiring Fixes" list, it's more of an internal list for me for installers that I found errors on. The SoFII DLC is all unlocks not actual DLC, and the unlock is the same for each piece. I was missing 1 piece of the DLC, so I just used Xlast to rebuild the missing piece. But I managed to find a retail and now have the real DLC. So the installer has to be fixed, plus I found some typos in the latest installer:)

The only thing I've been able to do is convert the songs into an xbox dashboard soundtrack, which also works with custom soundtracks, but is not truly DLC anymore.

sorry it took forever to get back to you. Yes I've tested the content on a regular unmodded box and it works fine. It's just extra music tracks. I'll be uploading a whole harddrive set of updates in the future that will have it again. I've been insanely trying to update 11 xboxes with over 70+ titles worth of content with just two gamertags. I think I'm gonna just download my favorite titles since I do not have much time left. And eventually soft mod all these boxes and use the installers.

Try this if you have Fight Club http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WQWXT316 Every time I try it I get bad DLC. But let me know your experiences please. If it works, it can be left as official, if not, I need a new copy of the DLC from someone to find out whats wrong.

So to reiterate, treat as untested beta, can't get it working myself, report results please.
 
I'm set up with my newer modded Xbox finally, I have parts to make like 9 more Xboxs I think haha, anyways. I setup PSO with a PPF patch because I wanted to see how the original xbe functioned after setting up an offline game, and still requires to setup XBL. Would you be interested in the PPF patch and/or patched xbe? I know this is a huge exception to the untouched content that you deal with but it's almost necessary to even run the game anymore. (I have the original disc so I can supply the untouched xbe and the patch.)
 
The xbox's don't matter, the hdd's with old content do:)

If I ever get any actual DLC for Phantasy Star Online, I'd gladly include the files needed to make it playable offline with the installer. Just like I included the MS transfer tool for Xbox Music Mixer in it's pack. That being said, haven't seen any kind've dlc about PSO, not a level unlock, not a notice, not a hunter license nothing :/
 
Alright, attached are the original xbe from the disc, the patched xbe and the PPF if you'd like to patch the xbe yourself.

Basically the original xbe will immediately bitch about the network being setup, and kick you out, while the patched xbe has a FAKE GAMERTAG for you to choose and create as many characters as you wish. I originally thought about creating a dummy character to give you for an installer, but there's too many options for character creation.

The game had many online quests, but there was only one actual downloadable quest (the rest required you to be online to play).

I recently picked up two copies of this game (one from GameStop disc only, and one without a manual at a closing Hollywood Video), so I've obviously never played it on an Xbox, so I created a character and played a few minutes with this patch and it works great offline. :)

I've actually got 3 or 4 old xbox live accounts on my various HDD's and mem units. My original was Harcroft, and last one was Halo Ringer for the dlc project, yeah that's right, it wasn't taken and is now used up. Also have several from used consoles, So dummy accounts aren't a problem:) Caring enough to actually try a game I have no interest in is hehe.

I'm curious if this patched xbe would allow you to use any of the other gamertags on your hard drive, 'FAKE GAMERTAG' is the actual gamertag that shows up, it's self contained in the xbe which is neat.
 
Is that because of an Xbox Original connectivity loss or is it because that game doesn't support the servers anymore? As Chromehounds, which is a 360 game no longer has servers online because the developers no longer support them, it was a great game but no one really played it,
