Xbox Offline Xbox Live Downloadable Content [DLC] Installers

Wow I haven't been on forever. Anyways just saying Hi, and seeing if Harcroft is still creating new installers. I've finally got my xbox lan hooked up again and I might have some DLC that is not on the list. Is there anything in particular people are looking for? I know 6 years ago we couldn't get the fight club one working. I noticed that my nba jam had some dlc, Also my Pariah had a map i think, and Project Snowblind. Anyways let me know and hope everyone is doing well.

I was wondering if you're still in need of the Sega GT Online and PSO DLC. I checked my Xbox and noticed that I have a downloadable quest for PSO titled Central Dome Fire Swirl and what looks to be a patch for Sega GT Online, sans DLC. In addition, I also have a few Pariah maps and around 8-10 Far Cry Instincts maps.

I have a softmodded Xbox, if that would help in extracting the data. Let me know what I can do on my end to help.

I've registered here to say big thanks to everyone who created and shared these packs. Thanks. Such threads should never die.

Thank you for creating this! Such an awesome source for this game content, especially since it is unavailable from XBL.
A quick question for Harcroft:
Battlefront and Battlefront II each had an Update to install alongside the DLC. The original 2nd installer (update) wont work on a Jtag/RGH even with the modified compatibility partition. What I CAN do is put out an update just for homebrew consoles like for Halo 2, Mechassault 1 and 2, Splinter Cell etc.
...
EDIT: Just to be clear. The "JTAG" updates I've released only install what the second (update) installers normally would from the older DLC installers. You still have to run the first (DLC) installer to get any actual DLC.
What exactly do your JTAG installers do that the Original XBOX installers don't do? Comparing the checksums on the content (for the SCCT update for example), all files are the same. Is it simply copying files into the TDATA directories on the compatibility partition? I do not have a JTAG 360, but wanted to get this DLC. I tried copying the files with Xplorer 360 and a hard drive transfer cable, but the content is not recognized in game (it shows up correctly in the 360 dashboard under the memory settings though). Is there a way to place the files in the right directory without running the installer?

The installers for JTAG/RGH consoles only contain the game updates for games with existing DLC installers. They're similar to the existing update installers except they are stripped down, no music, no readme.

For some reason you can't launch a cdx menu executable (.xbe) from within another executable on an Xbox360 running an Xbox emulator. So when you launch the update installer from within the DLC installer the emulator completely crashes.

Yes the files are the same since it's installing the same data. The content and updates wont be recognized by your game without the installer. The whole point of the installer is to sign the content to your console so the game detects it. If you don't have an Xbox 360 console that can run homebrew, you can't run it and can't use the DLC or updates..

I wanted to tell you that Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike DLC was not on the site anymore, but i checked back a minute later and it was present again, i don't know why. Just to be sure, always check if anything is missing.

Hey,

I've signed up to tell that is a great project keeping up the original dlc xbox alive, but i saw there isn't the Phantasy star online DLC, no one got it ?

My records show there are a few missions and some Hunter Pass DLC. Of course I have none of this DLC as none was ever provided to the project, and the servers were down long before I ever found a copy.

A user Myth still has content maybe he can get it to me to look at (posted in July). I'm still open to content contributions and I am willing to make more installers. I have worked on a few on and off over the last couple of years, it's just not a high priority on my lit of things to do in life.

I'm really happy to hear people are still enjoying this project. The cold reception we got in the original release in summer 2006 was pretty crappy, so it's REALLY nice to see people warming up to it literally a decade later.

I'm glad all the effort to keep the content collection alive on the internet has helped someone.

What didn't people like about it? I found out about the project in 2008 and was really impressed, knowing most of this content would have been lost forever without your efforts.

Obviously someone went to the effort of stripping your credits out originally which sucked, however i'm glad we could get the original versions from yourself posted up.

People didn't take issue with it per se. They just felt it was a pointless project. People didn't start panicking about getting the DLC together until after Live was down. Essentially people just didn't care until it was too late.

I really don't care about losing credit, just giving credit to our awesome sources who provided us with some amazing and hard to find stuff. I was more concerned about contact information. If people can't reach us, they can't ask for help give us new content to work with.

I'm very glad Hoffman brought the project here. It's definitely a highlight of the whole deal. One solid place to store, share and update the project.

Keep on kicking ass Digiex.

So realistically we probably have over 90% of released DLC. However over the course of the project I could never afford a complete set of xbox games so I have no idea what other games have DLC I never even found out about. Beyond that I don't know what games had Xbox Live support and had a downloadable game update.

Games we KNOW have DLC that we didn't get are on that list but to summarize:

Fight Club: soundtrack DLC, the DLC I have wont install for some reason, the game also has more media checks than other xbox games. I don't know if it's due to these media checks or if the DLC I have is bad, I can make this into a music installer instead so the songs can be used as ripped xbox music.

Karaoke Revolution: before KR Party game out this game had LOTS of individual download packs like Xbox Music Mixer. This DLC is duplicated with KR Party since all of the packs are included on the KR Party disk and unlocked with installers we already have. I'm not holding out for this DLC.

Sega GT Online: this game had lots of DLC, but you had to compete (and win?) in an official Sega sponsored event on Xbox Live to unlock it. I had the game and I had Xbox Live at the time but couldn't unlock/download any of the DLC. This stuff will be exceedingly rare.

Phantasy Star Online: I never a retail copy of had this game, but I've heard and read from several sources that there was DLC including some sort of "hunter pass" and special holiday lobbies. I have an offline patched version of this game now, but I don't know if the DLC for it will work wit that even if we get a copy and I can build an installer.

Finally here's my internal to do list that I've been slacking WAY too much on:

Fixes:
Brute Force Add 2nd update
Crimson Skies Add Alt Caverns and Fury add alt update
DOA Ultimate Add alt JPN update
Fight Club Music Installer
Forza Add alt update
Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike Fix TU in installer
Halo 2 Add alt JPN 1.1 update and add back in old highplains as alt
Midtown Madness 3 Check with Savegame
Spikeout Battle Street Add alt JPN update

Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow Add alt JPN update
SoF II Double Helix Fix dlc names and kowloon dlc
Star Wars Battlefront II Add alt Update
Star Wars Clone Wars Clean up installer add update
Star Wars KotOR Add Update
Top Spin Add alt update
Tron 2.0 Fix website space
Unreal Championship 2 Add more alt TU's if possible

Sports:
All Star Baseball 2004 DLC installer rosters
All Star Baseball 2005 Full installer rosters
ESPN NBA 2k5 Full installer rosters
ESPN NFL 2K5 Full installer rosters
ESPN NHL 2K5 DLC Installer
ESPN NHL Hockey 2K4 DLC Installer
Madden 08 Save Installer
Madden 09 Save Installer
NBA 2k3 DLC Installer roster need xbe
NHL 2K6 Full Installer
NHL Rivals 2004 Full Installer

Ignore the formatting, it looks fine in my local text file.

I hope that gives everyone some insight on what's missing and what's still to be done.

SilverTheGamer that's why it's on the bottom of my list of priorities. In some cases the rosters are savegames, other times they're actual signed DLC.

Ok, I did not realize it was signing the content. Any chance I can do this by hand (hex edit files, etc)?

Thanks for your reply!

mwaterbu if that were doable we wouldn't need the installers. I'm sure it is possible but I'm not a programmer or encryption expert.

SilverTheGamer I will make an effort to get some more installers put out. No promises on a timeframe. My netbook still set up to build these. Currently I only have 1 functional xbox so I can't do much testing as I used to. I'd ask for testers but traditionally people don't get back to me unless they find a problem....six months later. I do know some of those were done, as I stated in my previous post those are lists that haven't been edited since 2011. When I have more time I'll update my local files.
