Xbox Offline Xbox Live Downloadable Content [DLC] Installers

No more neglect for basketball fans out there:
Rosters DLC installer for NBA 2K3 now available.
Rosters DLC and an NTSC title update installer for ESPN NBA 2K5 now available.

Three new installers today, two for the hockey lovers.
ESPN NHL 2K6 with a single roster update.
NHL 2K6 with five roster updates and an NTSC title update.

NFL Fever 2004 title update, likely has DLC missing but I guess we'll see if anyone comes up with some.
This game has some extra protections so it can't be played off an Xbox hard drive without some patching. Instead of going through all that trouble, I included a patched version of the title update which should let you play your original NTSC copy of this game from your Xbox hard drive.

MotoGP Online Demo Title Update found and now available. Thank you new contributor bLiGhTy!

I have some more PAL things to go through thanks to a certain gentleman with a literal throne of Xboxes. I also have some Madden Rosters to go through thanks to ssjyoungj21. I would like to have Madden 05-07 before I build those installers though simply because it's a lot more work than a standard installer.

Trying to get all the cars in Project Gotham Racing 2 and every time i run the installer i get the "auto-update corrupted press A to revert update" when i run the game after. I tried both pal and ntsc versions and installers and i get the same issue. Any ideas? Trying to run on Xemu.

I suspect you did not completely package the installer when copying into Xemu. If you FTPd it onto your Xemu HDD, don't. Unpack the DLC package from rar again, then use Qwix to build the installer directory into an Xiso to load into Xemu.
You may also have a version of the game that simply isn't compatible with the 2 title updates we have. If I have time I can try this tonight to see if I can verify what you're seeing,

Wow that worked! I had been using xiso-extract and i used qwix with a fresh .rar and it worked! tysm!

New Counter-Strike installer uploaded.
This one contains the same NTSC+NTSC-J title update as before, but also adds a spoofed version that will allow PAL copies of the game to use this update. This will mostly help system link players with a PAL copy of the game. This spoofed copy *WILL NOT* function on unmodified consoles.
Installer updated as normal.
Counter-Strike JTAG Update also uploaded for homebrew 360 users.

As the beta launch of Insignia nears, I have a few more games to update so expect more in the next few days.

As I find them, I will specifically list things I recommend you not install for use with Insignia, or things that simply will not work with the service.

For now the only thing I don't recommend installing in the Tetris Worlds Update. It's only for the standalone game. I do not have an update for the Tetris Worlds Online + Clone Wars combo disc, or the Xbox Live starter disc release of Tetris Worlds Online. Because the other 2 updates are missing, I can't guarantee compatibility with other gamers playing with the other versions of the game. I made a note on the first page of this thread about that a few days ago.

Could it please be noted which DLC is compatible with Insignia or not?

I haven't found any evidence that there ever was DLC or title updates for either of those games.
Beyond that, none of the PAL console dumps I have contain even a saved game from either of those titles.

Is there away to get Colin Mcrae Rally 04 or 2005 on Pal?

Thanks! So it would be OK for example to install the Midtown Madness 3 DLC? I'm NTSC.

The official public Insignia stance has been to not use any title updates to ensure maximum compatibility with players who can't get them or wont get them.
In my experience though Midtown Madness 3 users with and without the title update and DLC seem to connect to each other just fine.

In other news I uploaded a new type of installer today, a compatibility patch. Details are on the first page of the thread and in the readme. These will be a temporary solution for games that I am missing title updates for. Currently I only have 1 NTSC copy of a title update for Tetris Worlds Live. There are more Title updates out there that will fix connectivity problems, but I need someone who happens to have them to share them. For now, the Tetris Worlds Live one should allow players with the Standalone version of the game to play with gamers using the other 2 versions.

How can I check if I have a title update for any game? I'm trying to maintain maximum compatibility.

I have been doing a LOT of testing with and without title updates on the entire launch lineup so things should be fairly seamless. Midtown Madness 3 from my tests both same region and NTSC + PAL playing together, it's just a game that works. You should be fine with or without the DLC and title update for it.

I'll have another installer within 2 hours (hopefully) and a recommended list of likely 3 installers for the best compatibility with other players on Insignia.

Star Wars Battlefront II installer updated.
I learned more about the releases for this game:
The RF title update (previously listed at NTSC) is for the multilingual, all region black label game release of the game.
The PAL Ger update (previously listed as PAL) is for the PAL only German black label release of the game.
I currently do not have a copy of the PAL only French black label release title update.
The Platinum Hits version of the game does not require a title update, and if you have one installed this version of the game will ignore it.
If you want to play with the DLC for this game on Insignia and your game is not German or French only, my recommendation is to install the DLC and RF TU.
Also I snuck in a little extra surprise for Star Wars fans. Enjoy!

I updated the Street Fighter Anniversary update installer with a spoofed PAL title update which should fool the PAL copy of the game to use the NTSC title update. I can't really test this because I don't know what it does other than (fix things). I have been trying to get information for 3 weeks from people who know about this game but they have been unresponsive. If you know more about this please get in contact with me.

I will not have time to get to the Star Wars Battlefront 1, Unreal II or Ghost Recon games until after Monday.
Battlefront 1 I may have more region/release updates for.
Ghost Recon does not gracefully separate updated and not updated players, and only 1 of 3 versions have been found so you probably want to avoid this one.
Unreal II only has 1 title update so it should be fine.

Star Wars The Clone Wars should be fine as it is. I think updates are required to load the DLC but updated and not updated players should be able to play together as long as they play on maps all players have installed. The current TU should work for the standalone game but likely will not load on the Clone Wars/Tetris Worlds combo disc. If this becomes a problem I'll try to do another spoofed TU or compatibility patch.

Thank you for your continued work. I continue to have issues with BF II though. I have a regular green retail copy that I ripped to HDD. I keep getting the "mismatch error" on Insignia, which supposedly requires the TU that was later included on Platinum. Does your installer do that? Doesn't seem like it, because I tried that RF TU and it didn't fix it. Where can I get this old old TU?

The mismatch error most likely means people are not running the update on their black label worldwide release or they are using badly patched HDD rips/badly ripped DVD2Xbox and not updating, or the update can't load due to their patching.
Normally that title update can cover for bad HDD ready patching AND fix the compatibility with the platinum hits version.

There is no "old old TU", there is only 1 TU for the worldwide release and it's in the installer. The Platinum Hits copy xbe code and content wise is identical to the updated black label xbe. It contains the same update.
I've been putting out tweets about compatibility for games as I test them, that's currently the best place to get semi-detailed info about xbe/disc revisions for games as I come across them.

This one was a lot of work. Special thanks to navi and Demon27248 for testing.
Star Wars BattleFront 1 DLC pack updated with spoofed title updates that use the RF/English update to load on your French, German, Italian/Spanish or Japanese version of the game. The spoofed updates will make your in game menus display English instead of the native disc language.
I also added native language support for the updates. So if your console is set to French, the French spoofed update will display in French. The same goes for the other languages. These are google translate translations but I did have native language speakers look at them to see if they were passable.
Star Wars Battlefront II DLC pack got a back end update and I also added German native language support for the title update.

JTAG updates for both games also built and uploaded. All 4 installers now available in the first post.

I can now change my recommendation for Star Wars BattleFront for 3rd party original Xbox Live replacement services to use the update and Jabbas DLC. Enjoy!
