Xbox Offline Xbox Live Downloadable Content [DLC] Installers

Apologies, I didn't mention what software I was running!
I do use XBMC4Gamers, current prebuilt version and can dual boot into an unleashX dash as well.
(I am very new to this scene and did not know there were more than cosmetic changes between dashboards)

Deleted the old Battlefront files, deleted the tdata and udata folders and moved a new English copy to the XBOX HDD
I installed Jabbas DLC, ran the update installer under unleashX and ran Battlefront and Jabbas works fine...
rebooted back into xbmc4Gamers and Battlefront still locks up when loading Jabbas.

XBMC4Gamers is patching your default.xbe for the game in a way that makes Title Updates fail to load.
I think turning off flicker filter patching is the most common fix for this if you're launching games with XBMC4Gamers.
 
Niiiice turning off the flicker filter made it so Battlefront can now run the update and dlc properly!

Glad to see you got it working! Hopefully Rocky5 can figure out what extraneous patching is being done that's breaking title update compatibility.
 
Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War installer updated with an improved FoV patched title update. While I do have disc based NTSC DLC and Live PAL DLC now, it matches the Live NTSC DLC bit for bit, it was not included to avoid confusing users. PAL updates from France still missing.
Burnout 2: Point of Impact update installer uploaded. This has both known title updates for this game and should be final.
Burnout 3: Takedown update installer uppdated. This also has all known title updates for this game and should be final.
 
TimeSplitters Future Perfect title installer updated. It now has both the NTSC and PAL title updates. This includes all known title updates, so it should be final.
Removed the JTAG version of this update as it was superfluous.

Halo 2 installer updated for all regions. This includes title update 5 for English, German, Italian and Traditional Chinese, and a spoofed title update 5 for French, Spanish, Korean and Japanese releases. The latter 4 will load the English version of update 5. These spoofed updates should work on stock consoles as all XBEs involved are unmodified. English title updates 1-5 are also included. Folders for updates renamed to make them very obvious.

I have a working PSO installer with 4 DLC quests in all 5 supported languages, title updates from all 3 regions, a title update with font fix for NTSC and PAL TUs, a title update with font fix and widescreen patch for NTSC and PAL TUs. Waiting on a widescreen patch for the NTSC-J update before continuing. I may split this one into two installers as the NTSC and PAL updates are small but the NTSC-J one is 110mb uncompressed. I don't see a point in downloading a 350mb installer if you're not going to use the largest chunks of it (NTSC-J update, font fix update, and widescreen patch+font fix update. While the widescreen patch will not work on unmodified consoles, the update with a built in font fix should.

Hi, This is for Project Gotham Racing 2. I keep getting this error message (below) when starting the game after trying to install the Title Update. (I already redownloaded the Update files multiple times in case they were corrupted) I followed the instructions in the README file, deleted everything in E:\TDATA\4d53004b\ Reinstalled the game (NTSC US) from an original DVD. Still getting the same error message after applying the updates... What am I doing wrong please?

Your files are being damaged somewhere between unpacking them and transfering them to the console.
If you are using a USB drive to transfer them to the console, don't.
If you are using FTP, make sure it's set to Binary tranfer mode, not ASCII or automatic.
Delete your copy of the RAR, installer files on your PC, installer files on your xbox, installed DLC on your xbox from E:\TDATA\4d53004b\
Download it again, unpack the files again, FTP it over again, run the installer again.

Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 installer updated and now includes:
Central Dome Fire Swirl, The East Tower, The West Tower, Seat of the Heart quests in English, Japanese, French, German and Spanish. The latter 3 were ported from the GameCube versions by SchtHack PSO
Title Updates for NTSC, NTSC-J and PAL versions of the game

I've had this ready for a while, but have been waiting for an NTSC-J widescreen patch. When that does show up I will likely create a separate installer for the modified NTSC-J updates due to the massive size of them compared to the NTSC and PAL updates. 110mb vs 5.5mb.
 
Why do I get stuck on the loading screen when I try to launch the Burnout 3 title update ? I tried with Splinter Cell to see if it was an issue with the console but that one worked just fine. And yes I double checked the folders of the Burnout 3 title update.
 
If any installer is freezing it's a bad game rip (or failing laser/damaged disc), files damaged during transfer or your console is failing. Make sure you transfer any installer to the Xbox in binary mode via FTP. Do not transfer files over a USB device to the xbox.
Make sure you have a clean rip of your game from a valid source, even if that source is your disc.
Check all your capacitors for leakage and bulging on the xbox. Even if they're not bulging or leaking, they're 20 ish years old and past their service life.
 
Did it again by transferring each file one by one, and it worked. Thanks for the help.
 
I've had a peculiar issue with ToeJam & Earl III DLC. When applied to the USA version of the game, the DLC installed properly from an offline installer and all five packs were displayed as properly installed in Xbox Dashboard, but for some reason the game did not recognize the Suteki character. Character select screen would show Earlbot and GeekJam as available but not Suteki. The issue persisted after several reinstalls. After giving up I tried to install DLC from OXM #22 instead and that produced a successful result, with all three DLC characters appearing as playable.
 
That's one title that suffers from corruption from FTP being in ASCII or Automatic mode.

Most likely you just need to change your FTP client to Binary file transfer mode and that issue will go away.

My FTP client is set to Binary file transfer, I make sure not to use ASCII file transfer.
 
@Harcroft First, let me say these DLC installers are a great resource. Thank you for your efforts! I recently got into Xbox emulation via Xemu. Then just this weekend, learned about Insignia (amazing to be back on XBL). Which brought me to your post (since some games needed title updates). I've been having a great time installing updates for games I haven't played in 20 years! I ran into an issue with Phantasy Star Online though. I'm wondering if you can help. I created an iso from the DLC and I installed the NTSC update with font fix / widescreen patch without a problem. But when I go to install the quests, The installer opens, but I get a 'FAILED' message for each of the 4 quests (see image upload). I'm on Win 10, running Xemu 0.7.117 with original Xbox dashboard. Thanks for your time.
