The Nintendo Switch might only have been released today, however Digiex has not one, but two guides for Nintendo’s new Switch console.

The first guide will teach you how to setup an account from another region, allowing you to purchase games exclusive to certain regions. This also has the advantage of allowing you to purchase games more cheaply depending on the current currency conversion rates.

As you might know the Nintendo Switch doesn’t have a web browser accessible to the end user, however there is one hidden away in the system, used for authentication with public Wi-Fi hotspots via a webpage.

With a little DNS hack you can load any webpage you desire on the Nintendo Switch, we can confirm Digiex loads perfectly! This trick could also be useful for hackers trying to exploit the switch via webkit exploits. As we have seen over the last couple of years, exploits in the webkit browser engine have enabled 3DS, Wii U, PS Vita and PS4 hacks, so this could be a great way to start poking about at the inner workings on the Nintendo Switch.

tbh, for people who have a lot of money to spare, it could be worth it to buy an extra Switch to keep stashed away as-is, while playing on the other one. Especially if game saves get saved to cartridge and aren't locked to one system.

Then much later, if/when hacks would come out, you have a stock launch one to take advantage of, with the possibility of selling the second one as secondhand to get some money back.

Though at that price point, really easier said than done, heh.

I think like the Wii U / 3DS if hacks are released one day you will be able to go out and purchase a Switch on a lower firmware with ease. I purchased my Wii U in 2015 and the firmware on it was a year and a half old at that point.

That's not to say Nintendo won't remove the browser totally, which is most likely the way the Switch will be hacked and just not allow you to connect to public Wi-Fi.

I'm hoping to hold out until at least the second revision of the Switch is released, i managed not to get a 3DS until December 2013 and a Wii U until mid 2015. Not that I was trying not to buy either, they just didn't become an interesting purchase for me until a couple of years later.

The 3DS i got for Pokemon X / Y and the Wii U after watching @Nimrod stream Mario Kart 8 on Twitch, then realising it actually had quite a few exclusives I wanted to play, which also had local multiplayer too.

I find it very funny that, for a lot of people, Breath of the Wild was the one game that had them excited for the Wii U, or wanting a Wii U at all. Didn't care about anything else.

Then 4 years later they actually release the game, and it's not even Wii U exclusive anymore. Ha

Jesus Christ, it's already hacked 1 day after release. I feel like an emulator is gonna pop up in a few weeks.

It's not been hacked, however people are making progress tinkering with the Switch.

The Nand has already been dumped and its been mentioned the Switch is vulnerable to some FreeBSD exploits.

Just as the Wii U eulator is already playing games at 60 FPS (If you dumped the shaders)
