Can i play burned games on xbox 360 after an update ?

Hello, i have a flashed xbox 360 currently on dashboard 2.0.17511.0. If i update my console am i gonna be able to play burned games after the update??

Your well past the system update when the DVD drive got re-flashed so you should be fine. I suspect your on the LT3 firmware, which works fine on the latest dashboard update.

Hello. New User. New Gamer. Old(er) guy. Just bought a modded Xbox 360 with LT3.0 (so i was told). Has Dashboard 2.0.17489.0. When I connect to Xbox Live it wants to do an update. If I let it, will it destroy my ability to play non-official CDs ? Thanks in advance.

If you have LT3 you are fine, if you don't then yes. Although it looks like you should be fine with the dash you are on.

Hi i'm kinda wew here and Into this thing with modded xbox360.... anyways my thing is that i've watched some tutorial on this site and i tried to update my modded xbox to play newer games than 2010 releases but IT wont work dashboard is 2.0.8955.0.... Any pointers or advices... Frankly to say i don't know how it was modded but i know that iso pirate burnd dvd works

The dashboard you are on is over 10 years old now so defiantly doesn't have DVD drive firmware capable of playing XGD3 game discs.

You have to open the console up, flash the DVD drive back to stock firmware then update the console. After that you can flash the DVD drive with the latest LT+ 3.0 firmware for your drive.

It honestly depends on the model of 360 you have. Some of the older DVD drives in 360 could be done with a PC and compatible sata chipset using jungle flasher, powering the drive with the 360. However I'm pretty sure it ended up been better / safer buying tools from the likes of Team Xecuter.

You'd need to know what model drive you have, but i think in this day and age you will probably have to buy some hardware to help you get this done.
