Minecraft Update problems

When i open minecraft and press log in it tries to load but cant so i press force update and it says that a fatal error occurred and access denied to update the .jar
I tried to use jessenic's update tool and it didint work. i tried downloading the pre-release jar and putting it in and said i don't have permission to do anything to it and wont show me who has permission. Minecraft worked when the final version came out and i didint do anything to it and now it doesnt any help? ( i tried to get some help on the minecraft forum but i got nothing)

Are you a administrator? Right click jessenics tool and try run as admin.

well the screen turns black when i login after ive downloaded the minecraft final 1.0 jar

Try removing the .minecraft folder and restarting. Using the default launcher. If that fails perhaps its a GPU / driver issue?

i removed i and restarted it but theres still a problem
I also tried playing minecraft on another account on my computer and it worked. but nothing is diffrent about the other account mine and the other are both adminsitrators

umm most strange, you've removed the C:/Users/USER/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft folder? Not sure if thats the exact directory, but its very close. Otherwise I have no idea you could try updating java, drivers. if it comes to it create a new user and recycle that one. backup everything from it though.

Thanks king i made a new account and deleted the old one and now minecraft works

Delete the bin folder in .minecraft, or if you dont have any important single player saves, delete the whole .minecraft folder in AppData (do backup though)
