Step by Step Guide to purchasing Games from US Xbox One Store from any region

Hey I want to purchase Madden off the US Marketplace, I can get the US GIft card but do I have to Change the address and Billing information on the account to a US address. Do I have to switch region on the xbox one for it to download when purchasing from the US Xbox.com. Is there any issues with playing the multi-player on these games after they download

Simply redeem the gift card on the US Xbox website, then purchase the game with the giftcard, if you need to add a US address you will be asked to do so. The game will download yo your console without you switching regions.

All Xbox One games are region free, you should not have any issues playing on-line going by my own experiences.

I always use pre-paid cards and I've got enough credit in my account but when I try to buy a game from the US store it ask how I want to pay the rest...

Does the same on the website and the console.

EDIT:
I had $30.06 in my account and the game was $30.00... For some reason it refused the complete the transaction asking for a credit card. I loaded $15 more onto the account ($45 in total) and the same $30 transaction has gone through without further issues...

I can sell russian gift cards for buy on Xbox One russian store if someone is interested.

Just PM me

Having no joy at all trying to do this using Paypal as my payment method. Went through everything fine until this part "Once the address is entered just select ’Next’ and go ahead and link it up to your PayPal account.
I did this even though my UK account was linked to PayPal with no problem allowing me to use the same PayPal on both my home region, and the US region store. I even left my UK address on the 'Postal address' on the PayPal screen below with no problems."
I logged into my paypal and as soon as I "agree & continue" on the paypal screen which says "Pay Microsoft Corporation with PayPal" it jumps straight back to payment & billing on xbox account. ]
Any ideas ? Thanks in advance

PayPal doesn't work in my experience, its long since been blocked. The best thing to do is buy a pre paid Xbox card.

Is their anything in particular I need to do to be able to buy one of them in the UK ? Cheers

You should register on borderlinx and get a valid USA address, then when you make the order on Amazon.com use that address for billing

So im trying to get my head around this,

So lets say i use prepaid USD card's. I switch my Xbox.com to United States etc

Now the sales tax is what i'm trying to figure out their is alot of conflicting posts saying you pay sales tax, you dont pay sales tax, and sales tax was already paid for buying the card etc, I presume buying the USD codes from the UK you dont pay sales tax, but Microsoft will change sales tax for the download? so do i have to use a US Billing Address where sales tax is not charged?

Yes basically, use an address in a state that does not have online sales tax.

Thanks, this works great, got a couple of pre paid codes.
Added to the account without any issues and items started downloading to my Xbox as soon as i finished buying them from the Xbox website.

Thanks

I've done this as well mate. I set up an amazon.com account, just used an Oregon University halls address on both this and my Xbox American store billing address. 0% sales tax and they'll never trace it, and never send you anything as it's all done electronically.

Amazon.com accepted payment from my UK Mastercard credit card no problem, bought a $60 Microsoft gift card thing, and they sent me the code via email. Took a while to come through as they check the authenticity but within a couple of hours I was downloading WatchDogs for $59.99 instead of £59.99.

Whats the address you used?

I have been doing some research on this after I realised this was a thing and I found a page reporting on ''Microsoft Quietly Region-Locks Digital Xbox One Games And DLC'' but is this the case? It seems like people aren't having any trouble at all doing this, is it because it's a different process than just purchasing through the game store? And if it is is it possible to buy these games without using Xbox.com? I am not ''old enough'' to buy games that way and I was stupid enough to not fake my age. So does this work on the Xbox Live store through the Xbox One?

In advance thanks for the help.

Oh and here is a link to the article:

Edit: I've re-read it all and got a bit more of an understanding, is going onto the Xbox.com site just to make it a little easier to punch in your information and all that?

Yes, going to Xbox.com just makes things a bit easier, however is not required.

The whole region locking thing is related to codes to download games e.g. you buy a console and get a code to download a game. You can actually buy games as per this tutorial with no problems.

And I thought it would be the safer option to buy Evolve from Amazon and get it cheaper that way. Thank you very much for the help, I appreciate you taking time of to help. =)

Step by step guide on buying games from the Russian marketplace? Using my main account on Xbox One if possible? If not a 2nd account is fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Wait you can't at all use Paypal? And didn't you just say that the codes don't work?

But since paypal won't and I've seen a couple of people saying they use codes so do the codes work or not? More precicsly will I be able to buy an Evolve download code from Amazon and redeem the code without any problem?
