Xbox 360 Dashboard / System Update 2.0.17150.0 Download With Avatars

Telling me I "don't need to worry about it" does not change the fact that I do not like that a nag message pops up every time I manually sign into an account.

I do not have dashlaunch, so if I want dashlaunch, I need to worry about it enough to learn how to hack my xbox.

edit: I also need to worry about whether it's even possible to do so on dash 17150
 
I think you have been lucky to never see that before as its been there since the 360 launched. It will not show if you use offline profiles, however its always been displayed for Xbox Live profiles that do not auto sign in.

I've mentioned several times that my xbox has never been online, therefore all of my profiles are offline profiles.

To be triple sure, I created a brand new profile, signed in, and still got the nag message.

edit: And to be absolutely certain that someone didn't break into my house and take my profiles online, I've just now moved all of my profile to a flash drive, turned the xbox off, removed the flash drive, turned it on, created a profile - signed out and back in and the same message appeared.

Perhaps it has always happened when you try to use online profiles offline, but I've never seen it because I've never used any of my profiles online. I think that after dash 16203, it now happens to offline profiles also - because someone at Microsoft realised they could annoy more people this way.

So:
  • Can anyone still on dash 16203 please confirm that I'm not lying?
  • Does anyone with a later dash who only uses their xbox offline not have this problem?
 
you are surely a newbie and first tell me is your console JTAG / RGH because i have this problem too and i fixed it with dashlaunch.
second you tell when you updated your console to 16203 then the error was come or you don't update it. their must be something that connect you to internet
 
His console isn't modified so cant use Dashlaunch.

Stupid question johnnygat, but does your console have a network connection? if so disconnect the cable and see if that has any effect. I really cant think of anything else to suggest unfortunately as it's something my console has always done when offline.
 
No network connection, no network cable.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the only thing I did differently this update was not reverting to stock, because multiple people on multiple forums reported that everything was fine without reverting to stock with this update. So... I wish I'd just reverted to stock anyway, just in case.

You keep getting the nag message because after a certain dashboard version, you were able to browse the market place and see their ad spam even if you're not signed into a profile or using offline profiles when you have an internet connection, which is why offline profiles are getting the prompt message to go online/can't connect. I messed about with the dashboard to see if I could get it to stop but was unable to. The only way I was able to avoid the nag message was by first booting up a game, then afterwards, sign into my offline profile. It boosted sign in times considerably, maybe half a second to sign in, rather than taking 10+ seconds because it was trying to sign into live the whole time before finally giving me the error when on the dashboard.

first of all you must know your xbox (motherboard ,, glitch1,, glitch2 or jtag) then yes you must update to play new game cause 16203 is old,, you can install 17150 it's the last update and working great
 
No it will not cause problem since you do it right and of course no official update

I am new to Xbox 360 and have a big doubt about updating. Is it safe for me to update (2.0.17150.0)
my console to the latest update.
My Xbox is a Corona RGH2 moded currently on Dashboard v 2.0.16537.0. Is it safe for me to update or will my console lose my mod and ability to use Xex menu and FreeStyle Dashboard to play games from my External HDD?

I just moved and I'm trying to connect my Xbox 360 to the Internet but it's telling me I have to update it, so I've been trying and trying but nothin. What do I do?

What did i am going to do now? Do you want me to trying to get a new update with dash 16767 will be unbanned for retail stock only or something else? Let you know

Only retail stock XBL will go xbox live!

Once you're banned, you can only get unbanned by getting a new KV. Putting on a new firmware will not un-ban your console.
 
i used this to update Dash on LT3 but my friend have XBOX with iXtreme mod. did he can use this update also? thank you...
