Xbox 360 Dashboard Update 2.0.17559.0 Download​

Minor bug fixes and improvements

How to install:
1.) Unrar the download
2.) Copy the $SystemUpdate folder to the root of a CD or USB Stick (The memory stick must be FAT or Fat32 formatted)
3.) Insert the CD or USB Stick into your Xbox 360 console.
4.) You will be automatically prompted to update with a USB stick, with a CD / DVD it should say Mixed Media Disc, power down the 360 and power it on again. You should be ask to update before the 360 boots to the dashboard.
5.) Once the update is complete your Xbox 360 will restart then boot up to the new dashboard. Enjoy!

I have a fat XBOX360 with custom flashed DVD firmware. When I swapped my 60GB drive drive for a 120GB (both original Xbox 360 drives), I was prompted on the new 120 GB drive to download a kinect update, but not on the 60GB drive when I put it back.

My question is two fold:

1. Will the Kinect system update affect the custom firmware on the DVD drive and -
2. Will the most current system update listed here affect the custom firmware on the DVD drive?

If yes to both, would I be able to avoid this issue by swapping out the flashed drive with a vanilla base drive (I have a second dead FAT Xbox 360) and then running the update?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

That depends on the DVD firmware you have flashed to the drive? if its LT+ 3.0 then you are fine.

What is the procedure for updating so I can use my Kinect? I got an error that update required to use Kinect and my Avatars are greyed out.

Hope I didn’t just brick my system . I was on a mission to get my Kinect working. Found some tutorials for Jtag saying update dashboard then run update from usb stick in $$ystemUpdate. The dashboard is updated but the $$ystemUpdate would not update. In dash launcher i enabled noupdater then it saw the update on the usb stick but failed the install with error 4497 0000 xxxxx xxxxx. Now my Xbox is running extremely slow I just want to be back to where I was.

Dashboard is the latest (17559) and yes, it's the LT+3. Thank you for your help.

On Jtags you have to use the same system update as you currently have installed to restore the avatars / get Kinect working. Don't use anything newer.

Cool. Do I have to use a NAND utility to modify the update into a upflash.bin? Or can I run it from $$ystemUpdate on a FAT32 flash? BTW I am at the latest desktop on my RGH system so thank you for confirming that information.

If your Jtag is on 17559 then simply copy it to $$ystemUpdate on a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive and the console should restore the avatars / kinect data.

Hi. My Xbox360 is very old version. I got it from my bro-in-law, it's 2.0.12625.0. Can i update it to this 17559 version?Recently i get a kinect from a friend but it doesn't detect. Is this system update help in my case? Appreciate for helping.
