Xbox 360 Partition 2 Download (Xbox 1 Emulator)

Here is partition 2 that has been dumped from an Xbox 360 hard drive.

Download Xbox 360 hard drive Partition 2

After downloading extract the Partition2.bin with WinRAR.

Now with the hard drive you want to restore Partition 2 to connected to the PC (transfer cable will work fine) open the drive with Xplorer 360 Extreme 2.

After doing that select Drive > Restore Partition 2 and select the Partition2.bin you extracted from the rar file.

Let the process finish, you have now restored Partition 2 and can play backwards compatible Xbox games on the 360.

If your hard drive is not 20gb or 120gb do not touch partition 3 as it will corrupt the data on it!

You can restore Partition 2 on hard drives of any size, that includes drives in jtag consoles.

If you do not have xbox live, you can update the emulator by using this tutorial.

Its for people who hack there own hard drive to use in the Xbox 360.

If you own an arcade console you never had an old hard drive to get partition 2 from... its needed to run the Xbox emulator for backwards compatible games.

Thanks a bunch for this. You described me to a T....I have an Arcade model with a hacked 250gb hdd thanks to using hddhackr 1.22. I recently purchased a very cheap original Halo combat evolved and couldn't play it. I found that my partion 2 is the issue. Thanks for posting this. I'll give this a try ASAP.

I just ran that xplorer360 extreme file linked through virustotal.com and it says its infected with various worm viruses.
here is the results page.
VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner

It triggered 11 different antivirus programs.

So does anyone have a non-infected version?

The one hosted here at digiex works for me, no viruses (scanned by F-Secure and AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials)

Its a false positive, the file is clean and works fine.

How long does it take to restore partition 2? It's been sitting there some time, around 10 minutes (with the green progress bar moving up and down) but not finishing. It does this with both partition 2 taken from my old hard drive and also the one contained in this thread.

I've successfully put the 250GB drive in the 360 and it's seeing it, I've installed several games to the new 250GB HD.

I wanted to play Halo hence the addition of partition 2.

I had the same issue when restoring "partition 2" with Xplorer360 Extreme on Windows 7 on multiple machines, but it works fine on Windows 2003. If you have Windows XP, give that a try.

Also remember on Windows Vista / 7 you need to run the program with admin rights otherwise you will have problems.

I registered on here JUST to say thanks for providing the Partition2 and the tutorial for getting XBox Originals to work on my Western Digital Black 250Gb hacked hard drive. I followed the instructions EXACTLY and it worked like a charm. Thanks again!
