Xbox 360 Partition 2 Download (Xbox 1 Emulator)

Well i have no idea what I did this time, but it works. Thanks, Rick and Insane nutter, for the help and patience

"Hoffmans partition 2" xplorer 360 extreme 2 I don't understand the need...

Do you still need to do this step for the emulator and backwards compatibility? I reall do not understand the need for this and when I would run this.

I have the Xbox slim 4gb bundle that has no hard drive so I will be buying one and running hddhackr 1.3 which I thought creats a partition 2. So, why the need?

Would I be able to skip this step and still be backwards compatible with sbox games?

Thanks in advance

No, you need partition 2 to play Xbox games.
The Xbox 360 slim 4gb bundle can't play xbox games because of partition 2 which it doesn't have.

I just uploaded this,it should be updated & play the xbox games on the compabitility list.

if anyone can give feedback, that would be great

Rick, what is the difference from this partition and the one at the beginning of this thread? Is this the same as using the first partition you uploaded and then running an update through xbox live? Im just not sure which one to use. Im at work now but wanted to read up on what to do later.

also, like many others I joined this forum because of this thread :)

I thought partition 2 with the update applied would make it so you wouldn't need the compatibility update, but i was wrong. You can get the update from the first post or on xbox live automatically while signed in.

Hello, I came across this thread and it is just what I need. I have a 120gb HDD that I set up with xport360. I want to put partition 2 on there so I can play my old games. Problem is is that I can get the drive visable under both xplorer360 and xport360 but I am unable to load xplorer360 extreme2. Took me forever to unrar it and get it to actually load onto the computer with deleting as soon as I finish.

I try and open it up (as admin) and it will not load. I am using win7. I tried to open it under winxp sp2 but that just hangs. Any ideas?

Thanks

Leave it going even if it looks like its crashed, it should eventually do it!

The problem is that I cannot even get the program to load. I get one of 3 results. When I open the file using both winrar and 7-zip I find that the file that was just decompressed is immediatly deleted with no action on my part. When I use a online decompressor and download the .exe, windows tells me it is a invalid application or I do not have the proper permissions. I am the admin under win7 and run it as a admin. When I do a compatibility scan it sets it up as winxp sp2 but the file self deletes before I can test it.

Is the problem with win7 not happy with what I am doing?

It should work fine, is your antivirus deleting it? You may have to disable it until you are finished.
If you have winrar or 7-zip extract the folder then try to open it without admin rights.

Disabled anything that was remotly antivirus related and still the same thing. Is there anyplace I can just download the exe? I can get Xplorer360 working, not the extreme2 though (I realize they are different programs essentially)

I may have to bring the programs and the harddrive into my work and use the winxp computer there.

Same thing. The exe is deleted as soon as I download it. It is not in the recycle bin. I have disabled everything including user account settings. Going to try everything at my work computer tomorrow which is winxp. Thanks

Got it to load no problem at my work pc, restored the partition but at the very end xplorer360 extreme 2 closes due to "sudden stop working error" from winxp. Did this twice. Sound normal to anyone? Gonna have to wait to get home tonight to test it.
Thanks

That's not normal, it should transfer then allow you to close the drive and to close the program manually.

Yes I am having the same problem, it keeps moving up and down and it wont finish restoring! CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP?

Well normal or not, guess it was for me! Working just fine now, plugged in a original xbox game and played it for 20 minutes with no issues. Thank you for your help. I guess my advice for anyone having similar issues, find a windows xp machine and use that if vista, 7 or 8 give you headaches.

How to get this working with a slim hdd? is there a simpler way then: useing the case of xbox360 hdd?

**i tried to use a simple sata to usb connector i use all the time with hdds, but the pc dont detect the hdd, i think because of ahci**

I just registered to say if anyone has problems with Explorer 360 Extreme 2 (especially with Windows 7) right-click on the .exe and click "run as administrator" from the list. If you have User Account Control on a small window with "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?" should pop up, then click "Yes". Another possibility is to use to use Xport 360 from here:https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...ent/apps-pc/4044-xport-360-2-12-download.html

when i tried to open the hard drive i got an error saying could not find a fatx drive to open im using a western digital scorpio blue 250 hard drive
