Hello InsaneNutter, I have a problem...hope you can help, because I'm a HUGE fan of NTSC-J games (Deathsmiles, DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou, and so on).

I'm from Romania and here we have the system PAL. I wanned to buy an Xbox 360 NTSC-J this summer...but my old Xbox 360 (PAL) got the RRoD and I hade to buy PAL again...so I can play my games (so bye...bye...NTSC-J 360).

I already have the games I mentioned up...but no NTSC-J console. I'm so happy that Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5 is Region Free, al least one good game to play

A friend of mine told me about this software and I was like

Before I start...I want you to know that I have over 100 Xbox 360 games (PAL, NTSC-J) - I can make pictures to prove it (I have no problem with that).

I have downnloaded Xbox 360 Game Hack 5.2 and then I have tryed this things (non of them work ):

1. I have made an Image of the disc (Deathsmiles) with ImgBurn...and then I hade 2 files. Iso and Mds...

...I open the software (Game Hack 5.2) and selected the options on your picture...and then write the image on a disc (I know this is piracy but It's just for testing) and then on another Xbox 360 (banned - I have learned my lesson ) I have tryed to play the game...and I got the same message that the Region is wrong (or something like that).

2. Oki, I said to myself...mabye ImgBurn Is no good for making images...(I don't know) so I have downloaded the game (Deathsmiles) from a tracker. Same thing...I have selected the options on your picture...write the game on a disc...and tryed to play it. Nothing works...I get the same message...

Can you tell me...how can I make it to work? I will buy an Xbox 360 NTSC-J but only...next year... and I want to play my games now...

Mabye you cand tell me some settings...or...pictures...or something. Do I need to use XeX Tool 5.2 and Xbox 360 Game Hack 5.2 at the same time?

Hey RonanN1, you actually need a jtag hacked Xbox 360 not a flashed one.

Flashed 360 = Modified dvd firmware that will play backups of any game from your region or any that are region free.

Jtag hacked 360 = This is a hardware modification where you have to solder some resistors on to the 360's motherboard amongst other things, the end result is you can load a dashboard with a lot of security checks removed. This dashboard will allow you to play games from any region, patched with 360 game hack.

...erm...this is a little complicated for me if you know what I mean (the Jtag hacked 360 part).

But thank you for telling me how things work...I will ask someone from my country if he can do it (and I'm sure he can ) and go with my banned Xbox 360 to him...to make the hack untill I will buy a NTSC-J console

Yup i know what you mean, I did the jtag hack on my original 360.

I did a load of research to make sure i knew what i was doing and did it correct, in the end I got it working perfectly then about a week later my 360 got the RROD so that was the end of that.

Thats for the very first Xbox 360 revision (Xenon), chances are you most likely have a newer console which has to be wired up a bit different, you can find a lot of useful information on: Xbox-Scene.com

It should work, however doing so will require a jtag hacked Xbox 360.

hi, sorry but i dont understand what this tools do it have a chance to run game with original DVD firmware.....i very dont want upgrade firmware on my DVD-ROM

Nope this carn't be used with the original firmware on your DVD drive or even flashed firmware.

A modded Xbox 1 that is already modded will play games from any region with no hacking needed, if you asking will this work on an Xbox 1 that is not modded then no, it wont.

I Put Counter STrike in Xbox 360

No i don't believe it will work unless you jtag hacked your 360, you cant modify games unless you have a 360 that can run unsigned code as insanenutter has explained.

My xbox 360 i's hacked

Downloaded the apps to try to region free a game (Hokuto Musou) but when trying to run programs an error message pops up saying "windows cannot access specified path, file or device. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item".

This pops up for both gamehacker 5.2 and xextool.

Help please!

Hi I am from south africa and want to know if they would develop custom firmware in the future that wil bypass the region verification? Because i dont wont to open up my xbox 360 and go thru all the hassel to mod it...there is lots of xbox 360 games i would like to play that is not in our region...

At the moment the only way to have "custom firmware" on your 360 is to JTAG it, which does require you to open up your 360 and solder diodes.etc. Unless another exploit is found that doesn't require you to open your 360 (which is extremely unlikely) then you won't be able to play region free games.

I've bought a jtag'd xbox and I thought that it would automatically play games from any region. I guess this is not the case. Can you explain more of how to use this program (x360 Game hack) to play for instance a japanese game?
