[Custom] Distribution ROMs for every Generation IV event! (+ unused content)

First off, thank you for your work. We have now preserved and made widely available in their entirety events for gens 1-5, and only 6/7 remain before we can rest easy about the eventual bank closure...

I have reviewed the download a few times and believe the DPP Japanese Lucario Wakuwaku Doll is missing. Is this in there already, accidentally forgotten, or intentionally omitted?

You said that the Wonder Card IDs from 001 to 009 have not been officially determined, but after looking through other sites, it seems that there are more Wonder Card IDs that have not been determined. I do not know what the correct information is....

Hi! had to make an account to ask this, and I know this is gonna be a stretch because it's been a while since this post was made, but I'm wondering if you could tell me how to add this to my diamond game? I see they're .nds files, but does that mean I just add it to my ROM file in my 3ds? Or do I need to add all of those files to Diamond itself?
Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome!
These are distribution ROMs, this means that they behave like actuals distribution carts.

- First of all, you need two different consoles:
---- a first DS/DSi/3DS with a flashcart (like R4), or a modded DSi/3DS with TWiLight Menu++, to play the ROM
---- a second DS/DSi/3DS console with your 4th gen Pokémon game

(If you don't know how to install TWiLight Menu++, follow this guide)

- Now, you have to put the rom you downloaded (choose the .nds file you want) in your R4 SD card (or in the roms\nds folder of your system SD card, if you are using TWiLight Menu++)
- Start your R4/TWiLight Menu++ on your console and play the rom
- Push "A" to start distribution when prompt
- Start your 2nd DS/DSi/3DS with your Pokémon game and go to "Mistery Gift" option and then choose "Wireless"
 
Hello! I know this is an old thread but hopefully someone can help me out. I tried these files today on an R4 cart and it comes up with a bizarre error that I included a photo of. The R4 freezes with a black screen with coding text saying that the application is halted and to refer to logbuf.txt which I cannot find anywhere. Anyone know what the solution is? Do I have the wrong drivers?

Gen 5 distribution roms either never worked on really old R4 / M3 flashcards, or crashed in my experience.

You might be able to find a port of YSMenu for your flash card. If you can boot that first, then boot the distribution rom and you might be able to get it working like that.

I would like to ask something, can i activate events using these? As an example, I'm using the pikachu colored pichu EUR ver to try to activate his event in HeartGold but the pichu doesn't react when i bring it to the forest.

Sorry English isn't my first language, i hope i was able to explain myself correctly :')

They should work.
About the Pichu Spunzorek event, you should be able to activate it with every "fateful encounter" shiny Pichu (basically every Pikachu-colored Pichu event, despite the region).

I'm not sure about the origin game, did you claim the event directly with HeartGold or you transferred it from DPPt? Because the original event was only for DPPt, maybe that's the problem.
 
Hi! Sorry for the late response, i had a really busy week and it completely slipped my mind.

I first claimed the Pichu directly into HeartGold and later tried claiming one in Pearl to transfer it to HG, none of them activated the event.
I'm not sure if claiming it directly in HG could have blocked it? I also checked the date from the ds that I'm using to transfer these and it matches the dates from the event.

I'm not using an official game, I'm not sure if that could affect too

Do you mean you are using a dumped DS rom or an hackrom?
If you are using a "legal" DS rom, it should work.
Did you interact with the shrine with Pikachu-colored Pichu walking with you?

Hi! Yep, i interact with the pichu in the first slot but he doesn't react.

I'm using an old rom that i got back around 2010 when the game came out, I also tried other events recently in my legit games and they activated (haven't tried the pichu one tho, i haven't reach that part of the map yet in the legit games), that's why i think the problem comes from the rom itself, it's has always been a bit glitched and kid me experimented a lot with the code :'-)

I will try to get a new rom to activate the event there bcs i genuinely can't think of any other problem that could be blocking the event lol

Japanese distros don't seem to work, at least on MelonDS. Official JP distros DO work, but the digiex ones don't seem to connect ever. Made sure to set both consoles to different IDs, made sure the firmware for both was set to Japanese, tried custom firmware, etc. To reiterate, official distributions work fine. Anyone know what's going on?

Hi, which download are you using to distribute the Chatot to you japanese game ? if you use the wrong one it will not work.
