Ok I did it again...told me:

sectors 16-22 rewritten successfully...and firmware flashed successfully...

now turn off your computer...disconnect the hdd and test it in your xbox 360. all should work fine.

Still got the E69 message when I tested it...

E69: Hard Drive Error - Reading the HD Security sector failed: It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive

It could not seated all the way in the connection or when you do the partitions did you restart into windows and restore all the stuff from you old HDD to the new one

Alot of different drives will work but if you did flash it you won't be able to use more then 250gig because that is all microsoft supports

Connect a usb stick to your xbox and transfer all your data to that.
Then just transfer all the data from the usb stick to the new hard drive.

I do it through the PC I use Xplorer 360 that you can download at the start of the guide I had to hook my 20g M$ HDD to the sata on my pc and boot up back up everything turned off my PC unhooked the 20g and Hooked up the 250g HDD and (after you have already done HDDHACKR) boot into windows and use Xplorer 250 and restore the partitions to the new HDD

Could the issue be that it has windows 7 on it and it needs to be formatted?

Thanks that's all I needed to know. I have a spare drive lying around that I don't use so I thought I might as well use it for the Xbox 360 Slim I just picked up. Doesn't really matter to me if it doesn't support 500GB since 250GB is enough.

Now Download Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive Security Sector and Download HddHackr v1.30 Build 20110303

For anyone who wants to hack a diffrent size drive here are the security sectors that can be used for a:
    20gb drive
    60gb drive
    120gb drive

Unzip both to the USB drive you just made bootable

Be sure to rename the HDDSS_250GB.BIN to HDDSS.BIN

Just make sure you do actually have the hddss.bin file on the stick and try the older version of hddhackr I mentioned again. You may have made a typo or some other silly error while going through the steps.

I made sure I renamed the file correctly...still didn't pick up hddss.bin...could I have done something else wrong?
