Robide, how did you manage that with out getting the LBA error? Did the computer hang after creating the partitions?

Using Explorer 360 320gb version to add partition 2, when I click on hard drive or memcard I get and error "Fail to read cluster chain map". It shows me a partition 0 and partition 2 but does not show anything in them.

    Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks for the reply. I did run it as administrator. I even opened my desktop and connected it directly to a sata port, did my bios settings and when I run explorer 360 in xp pro it still gives me the same error message "Fail to read cluster chain map" and shows partition 0 and 2 but when I try to access them it gives me the same message. I even tried the Party Buffalo drive explorer 2.0.0.9 and when i click on "open drives" the "get drives" window stays searching for drives forever so I have close it through task manager.....

I'm going to try doing my undo.bin and then try the hex workshop way to see if I have better luck....

I had similar problems, but it worked once in the XBOX. See my post from Dec. 1 in this thread.

I used hddhackr v1.25 with my 320gb and it worked flawlessly, flashed and added partitiones. Now if I format the drive on the xbox 360 will I be able to restore the partition 2 that I downloaded from here at digiex after I format?

    Rick550,

I went ahead and formatted the drive and it showed 293gb of free space however, When I connect the drive to explorer360 32gb it still gives me the same error message "Fail to read cluster chain map" and it shows partitions 0 and 2 but it does not show any contents in them. I can use Horizon and Party Buffalo drive explorer 2.0.0.9 without any errors but I can't find anywhere IF or HOW to restore partition 2 for backwards compatibility using either of them. It's not really a must for me but it would be nice to have the option......

Ok, I'll have to try that tomorrow. Do you and anyone know of any way to do this with the Party Buffalo drive explorer 2.0.0.9?

I assume is not imperative to have to restore that partition 2 unless I want to play xbox 1 games right?

    A simple (noob) question

    Hello guys,

I'm about to buy a XBOX 360 with a 250Gb HDD, second hand. My simple, but maybe "nob" question is, if I follow the steps described here, how to "hack" the HDD, am I able to copy games to the HDD from my PC, and be able to play them on the XBOX 360 without hacking any DVD drive nor other hardware?

    Regards,
    Ben

Nope it will not allow you to play games for free or anything like that, it will work exactly the same as a 250gb drive purchased in the shops.

It can be used to install games to (and play with the disc in) download arcade games + dlc from the market and so on.
