Hack a 250gb, 320gb or 500gb Sata harddrive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim

Having an issue....the undo.bin file isn't being found...so I can't restore...any clue on what i should do? I get the feeling I'm cooked.

you will have a UNDO.BIN if you flashed the drive has the drive been flashed yet? thats when you get to the DOS Prompt and run HDDHACKR and flash the WD firmware to match for the 360 its during that time it will create the UNDO.BIN but if you haven't got that far yet then you don't have to worry.
If you follow the guide to the letter shouldn't be a problem I just did my first one today cost me $45 (at best buy for the WD HDD) and about 5 min to flash it put it in the case and format ;)
I did it with a desktop loaded all HDDHACKR and HDDSS.BIN on usb Unhooked all my HDD"S and only hooked up the Xbox WD HDD to flash it worked perfect flashed it created the UNDO.BIN on my USB and did the partitions I then truned off my PC put in my Xbox formatted the HDD (yes enter serial #) and been using it since ;)
 
@ rick550 i dont have a SATA port or anything on my laptop just USB. and eugene86 i am NOT using a mac. I used to have a mac and i took the 160GB hard drive out of that and made it into a external hard drive within a enclosure. Now I have a 250GB WD hard drive. Just chillin with no enclosure or anything. I was planning on putting it into my 4GB xbox360 slim...but haven't figured that out yet...

Ok with you laptop if you take out the HDD that you have in it and put the one you want to flash in it and boot USB and run HDDHACKR and flash the drive
Most laptops have sata i its in the last 4 years maybe even more ;)
 
i got my computer to realize the hard drive. Turns out i didnt install the partitions when i flashed it. But now when i try to restore my partition 2 to the hard drive the bar that shows the restoring's progress, it goes back to the beginning and forward very fast. I let it do that for about an hour yesterday and it wouldn't stop that. The xbox still has an error message pop up when i try to format it. I even tried restoring the partition 2 from the guide but the same thing happens.

do these steps

1.undo the drive
2.rename undo.bin to undo.old.bin
3.reflash the drive,create partitions
4.format in xbox 360
5.run xplorer360 as admin then choose restore partition 2
 
i restored partition 2 to the hacked drive, but my xbox still says it can not perform that action when i try to format it

undo the drive,rename undo.bin to something else

format in windows to ntfs or use a drive eraser like dban

reflash the drive and then connect it to the 360 to format it
 
1 question i have a 250gb seagate , is there a different program i can use to flash it besides hddhacker ?? since hddhacker will not work?
