Hack a 250gb, 320gb or 500gb Sata harddrive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim

I think the best solution is the "UNDO.BIN-way" and start from the beginning? But I'll need an UNDO.BIN

The best I can do for you is sector 16-22 (an undo.bin) from a WD2500BPVT-80ZEST0.

I prepared a 320 gb WD blue BPVT hard drive and hacked it the system said hack completed successfully.
But after that i connected it to my xbox slim the system shown that a new hard drive attached and require to format. I formatted the hacked hard drive in xbox console also the system said i should write console serial number after that i formatted the system didn't show the capacity of hard drive and said i should forma it again?
what i should be do for fix this problem?

regarding your pm the partition 2 is the emulator so you can play xbox original games but that is optional.

try this
turn the xbox off unplug the power,wait a few minutes
take the hdd out
put hdd back in
connect power and try to format it again(in xbox 360) if it still fails proceed below

if nothing happens do what i said in my earlier posts to undo the drive with the same version you used
(when i did the hack i used the older version,try that one when you reflash)
make sure it says wd 320 when in windows device manager or the bios before any formatting

i used hddhackr 1.3 but in the first post of this topic all of pictures and instructions are for 1.22 please describe the menu for this version because its diffe with 1.22.

Also,
i did u comments but the problem remained also with ver 1.3 i flash the hard and after that i partition it with hddhackr
also after that i inseted the hard in the console i have a delay for about 30 sec that console start up to the dashboard.
i dont know what i should be do to clear the problem

1.select the hdd you want to flash
2.select the option to flash which is f i think
3.it should create partitions also but i never tried the flash with this version
4.do #1 then select the option to create partitions if #3 didnt do it

hey guys,

I completed this tutorial some time ago to flash my own hd on my slim 360. great guide and worked flawlessly.

A while has passed and I noticed It looks like I must of skipped the part of restoring my partition 2 for the xbox 1 emulator. How can I browse my current drive on my pc using xplorer 360? I used to use the data transfer cables for the old 360 hard drives but not sure how to go about doing it on this sata drive.

you can use a sata cable or the xbox 360 hard drive case + a transfer cable to restore partition 2

only use xplorer360 extreme for restoring partition 2 dont touch anything else or you will lose all gamesaves,dlc,profiles & also read the guide again to make sure

We are talking about the hard drive for a slim 360 correct? The reason I ask is because if I remember correctly, the transfer cable only fits the old 360 hard drive enclosures.

Would connecting my current 250gb sata hardrive that I use in my slim straight to my motherboard via a sata cable work? Would xplorer360 detect it?

First of all, very nice tutorial. Best i've seen so far.

Second, sorry for my english.

I was thinking of buying an WD500BEVT (Scorpio blue 500gb) to hack and use in my 360 (fat 360), but then i wondered why i didnt see anyone else talking about an hdd bigger then 250gb. I'm new to this...

My question is simple: Is 250gb the limit to use in this hack? Should i get the WD250BEVT insted?

you can use a 500gb in the xbox 360 but you will only be able to use 250gb of it,but save your undo.bin file so you can revert the drive back to 500gb

Think i'll stick with the WD2500BEVT then. It's a few euros cheaper and its only to use in the 360, no need to see half the hdd not in use.

before i used 1.3 version and after that i inset hdd in console the xbox cant format it however i tried old version 1.25 also i have the same problem with 320 wd hard disk and console cant format it (i insert serial number of my console and console format it but after back to menu i see the hard require format).
What i should be do now?

important question: a friend said to me for use from 1.3 i should be do this step:
1- in the first flash with f and turn off the computer
2- turn on computer , in the second step make partitions with c and reboot again
3- turn on the computer, in the third step flash again with f
its it right for version 1.3?

So i got the WD2500BEVT... Is there any way of making my hold 120gb, from the 360, to work as normal hdd? So i can use it as an external usb hdd to carry arround?

nope.you can only use one at a time either external usb or xbox drive if you want to use it as external hdd undo the drive first but you will lose everything

just buy a flash drive online,they are very cheap vs store prices

Its not to use in the 360. Just as a normal external usb hdd at home and office.
