Xbox 360 System Update Preview

Could you packet sniff the location of the dashboard content?
I can't find it from the usual places :(

For those who are going to recieve the update via live need to leak it!

Maybe they saw that when you signed in to the Xbox you have a UK IP (even though US account) so not getting the update? (maybe) I am on Disc update and I've got the BETA Channel on my Xbox, And really it dont matter were your from for it to be FAIR or not they said US only and they can do that, what you think that people here don't spend as much on the Xbox as there? And good luck getting them to send the Disc to the UK if you faked the INFO how did you expect to get the Disc? what if because you fake the info they take your Console serial # and Ban it are you going to call them and tell them to UnBan it lol because they don't do that

If you did demand they send it to you and they actually did it wouldnt work as the disk would most likely be NTSC and your Xbox will only work with PAL games
 
hey every one i need your help. ill give you the credit if you help. i got the update 13141 and need someon to help me extractit from a .bin file below is a pic of the file it is 756mb big so idk if i can upload it. i cannot remeber because september 6th was a while ago. thanks xbox hacker

The Preview Forms are now open

I think Reach is region free so a NTSC-U copy would probably work in a PAL console but either way, its pretty obvious you won't get the disc. I wish people would make fake accounts with my address ;)

Klade if you update to 13141 it you should be able to connect to live as you have the beta tab (not 100% sure but more than likely.) You'll have to wait when it gets uploaded though.
 
From what I have been reading in the Preview form ;) (on xbox site) is that it should be the same as a Retail Copy (like you buy in the store) but with the update on the disc and MAYBE (I can't stress MAYBE enough) with some extra DLC (but wont know tell the disc show up lol)

A little more info part of what this update is for the new Disc format is it updates the firmware on the DVD drive that's why they are doing it with Disc and Live to see what method works better, so if someone did do it with a modded console that would be interesting to see what happens
 
From what I have read the update over live modifies your DVD drive firmware, so if its flashed it will no longer play burned games.

It also stops you from been able to obtain the DVD key, however if you already have this you can simply flash the drive again from what ive read.
 
My console is not modded so i don't have to worry about bans. I guess I'm the first person to actually update to 2.0.1314.0 in the disc audience. If you update, it pushes another updates to your console 2.0.13142.0 only if you are in the beta. Yes, I live in the UK. Apparently, this update only occurs in the US if you access the netflix application. I recieved it automatically. Could it be the Disc audience update version?

Live audience: 2.0.13141.0
Disc audience: 2.0.13142.0

You know i was half thinking of asking either you or KingBurn if i could use your address and signup for that beta on the off chance i got in on the disc beta, I should have done so really ;)

That will certainly make it difficult for a lot of people if the DVD drive is flashed back to stock everytime there is a dashboard update, it really will be a cat and mouse game then!

The live audience are already on 2.0.13142.0, you were seen as on the beta with an old version of the dash so were updated to the latest.

If you want my address details i'd gladly pm you it. Ofcourse its too late now if something like this were to happen again it could be helpful and if need be I could ship you the disc. :P
 
Both the Disc group and the Live group should have gotten the Beta tab, but there is a problem going on for a few people who didn't get the dash after the update.
