Hack a 250gb, 320gb or 500gb Sata harddrive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim

Guys, ive bought an 500gb wd5000bpvt, my question is the max size actually for an xbox360 hd is 320gb? or it could be 500gb? Ive saw many 500gb wd series with the .bin file but mine i didnt found even on the oficial hddhacker site.

If i can only upgrtade to wd3200bpvt where can i find the bin for this one? to do the steps on hddhackr?

Pls help me to understand =]

You can use the 500gb but you should keep your undo file.You have to use the 320gb bin and only to be able to use 320gb of 500gb of it.

If I get a 160gb scorpio all I have to do is use the 120gb security sector correct?

Also, am I able to use the extra 40 Gb for my laptop?

I'm thinking of buying an enclosure and using it for my laptop when I'm not using my xbox 360.

You can use the 120gb sector for 160gb drives. The remaining 40gb is not usable while the 120gb security sector is in use.
120gb will only be visible to the xbox 360. Keep your undo file so you can revert the drive to use the full 160gb on a pc.

Run as admin. Don't use different model undo files.
 
I don't know if some one mention this but here goes. My hard drive is not showing on my xbox 360 slim. I got the green light for the hard drive ready to test on xbox 360, but the hard drive didn't show on my 360. I have a WD Scorpio Blue BEVS 320GB. Oh yeah by the way when I was in the progress hacking my hard drive a message popped saying "LSB" I think. It was saying LSB size is unsupported and so on, I can't remember. Does This has to do with my problem? If it please help!

Is the drive fully connected to the port on the xbox 360?
Which bin file did you use?
