Is this during game play or somewhere else like on the menu? A screenshot would be helpful aswell!

I dont know why I bother writing things up if people just ignore them. Was it worth spending time registering, filling in your information, verifying your email and then making a post? Must have taken at least 5 minutes. You could read the thread in less time.

As you can see the proper Filesize for this is much bigger, your download is getting corrupted for some reason, what are you using to download it?

I downloaded this perfectly myself in Internet Explorer, As you can see the file on my computer matches the one on the Digiex server perfectly. You can always use something like Gertight or Firefox that supports resuming of downloads.

For some reason both I.E. and Firefox (firefox reported the file was complete) would stop before the download was complete and I'd get invalid archive messages. (I blame my ISP)

Getright did end up working for me, I was able to get a non-corrupted .iso

    Good Day

I have a slow connection 9kb's at best of times, so i knew i needed a download manager. So i downloaded flashget and left it for the night

THis morning it stopped on 90%, i reconnected and continued, but it failed. After some searching i found the flashget had 6 connections at one time :/

Now it says ip banned and then access denied.

Is this the 60 min ban? and will it be lifted. Please help me lol. SO frustrating :'(

    Thank you

Sorry for the double post, once again slow connection and it timed out

You can make 2 connections to the ftp, although the second connection is really only for ftp clients that make a connection to list the files and another to download them.

Its only a 1 hour ban so you will be able to access the ftp again in 5 mins :)

Isn't this that backwards game where instead of you playing the heroes you're playing the dungeonmaster and sending your beasties out after them?!

Hi, as i see you kinda ... ignored those two. I am pushing that problem, because i have the same.

I played DKII a lot, I bought it when it came out, lost it, bought it again in 2002 then I seem to have it lost again! Now I downloaded this. First times I played it on Win98, when I got XP I installed it there, worked just fine, also I didnt know anybody had problems with XP.

Maybe 2 Months ago I had a nice small LAN with three of my friends, playing DKII aaall the time. Its one of the best LAN games ever IMHO.

Maybe one Month ago I decided to buy my well planned Computer Parts, to upgrade my pc. I had a Intel Pentium 4 with 2.4 GHz and an ATI Radeon 9600, and 1Gigabyte of RAM.

NOW I bought myself a new Motherboard to fit the 2x OCZ Platinum 1Gig Ram (2x 1 Gig), the Intel Core2 Duo E8600 with 2x 3.33Ghz and the ATI Radeon HD3870.
I have newest Drivers for everything.
Now I get this problem, all the 3dimensional GFX is plain black.
Everything is running, I can even start a game, the Narrator talks and the cursor changes its shape to a Hammer when I seem to go over earth. But I cant see anything except the Menu stuff and the Bars ingame... and the Cursor, heres a screenshot from the Main menu(klick for bigger view):

You can´t see the Cursor, I dont know why, its at singleplayer, I saw it ingame.

So I tryed everything to solve the Problem, I´m not a PC newb or something, I think he doesnt recognize the new 3D Drivers and Hardware, so he isnt using it. But there MUST be a solvage for it, isnt there a possablility to emulate a bad GPU?

Ah yes also I tryed everything shown here, it didnt help me, but im shure it will hel ALOT of ppl here!

Very Important DKII Fixing Stuff! Watch this!: Dungeon Keeper II Fix for XP - The 404 Forums "Asylum"

also I found a still alive DKII Community!, but it seems to be french -.-:

    Dungeon-Keeper.net : Ultimate Keeper's Portal - Accueil

You can find the DKII patches there.

I hope anyone knows an Idea how to fix the Problem, im now trying the last thing i still didnt try, to do a virtual Machine with Win98, i got it already running, also i installed Win98 on it already, now i only have to burn a cd to try it.

    Greetings, Daedalus

EDIT: I found out, that DKII needs 3dfx support. Newer GFX-Cards dont have that. But there are Emulators wich emulate a 3dfx support. They are called "Glide Wrappers", the best one should be Zeckensack´s, but i cant get it working, theres a configuration and a Readme. But nowhere an Exe to start it. Also the Manual says nothing about hoe to let it run.

    http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/

    greetings

I tried to download this but I assume the server fell, so I canceled it, but now when I click on the link posted, it takes me to some form of directory rather then start the download.

    Can anyone help?

    *edit*
The Director it takes me to is Index of ftp or something like that.

    *edit... again...*
I managed to download it via looking through the history and finding it, I would still like to know what caused this to help me not repeat it again, thank you.
