skip the formatting and do this
    flash the drive with hddhackr
transfer partition 2 with xplorer 360 extreme (run as admin)
    format in xbox 360
copy game saves using the xplorer 360 320gb version (run as admin)

It didn't show Partition 2, only 1 and 3. I'm wiping the HD right now, will take all night. I'll test in the morning and see how it goes.

[SUB]I finally got the HD to working in my XBOX. After wiping (zeroing) all the data on the HD and running hddmakr it finally recognized my 320gb HD. It shows 300gb free space and i just use a flash drive to copy all my saves over from the old 20gb to the 320gb HD. So I guess if your having problems with your HD, trying using Active Killdisk to wipe the drive and try again, worked for me. [/SUB]

    Seriously, wtf.

I'm beyond irritated with this process. Guide seems accurate, but I can't get anything to work. I'm stuck just trying to get hddhackr to boot. Using 1.3 on a Windows 7 machine. I've tried multiple boot partitions and flash drives but I can't even get Dos to boot. Just a blank screen with a flashing cursor. Any help or ideas

Alright, I finally tried it on an alternate computer using an alternate boot utility called "Rufus". I can easily get DOS to boot and run hddhackr.exe. I suppose I need to tweak my bios settings at home. This has become a bigger headache than expected, but still cheaper than the alternative and I'm making progress.

    Follow these steps
    1.Undo the drive with hddhackr
2.Format to ntfs in windows disk management
3.Move your old undo file to a different folder
4.Hack the drive again using hddhackr, you can skip the partitioning part it does this automatically based on what some people post here

    Hey guys,

    Awesome thread!!!

Just picked up a 360 Slim 4GB in Aus for $148.

Found an old 320GB Scorpio Blue from 2009 lying around.
Tried on one computer without AHCI option (old PC) with no success and then again on a new PC and all worked perfectly. Now have 300GB of goodness for use, much much better than just the 4GB.

    Cheers!!!
