Question. Is it possible to get the EON Ticket in Japanese Emerald by mixing records with Japanese R/S? Has anyone tried that?

i bought a japanese emerald to get the mew and activated mystery gift at the pokemart, i have 0 badges atm and got the pokedex, i try to inject the event but it says " Mystery gift is not enabled for this savefile " can someone help me ?

You have to fill in the questionnaire found at any Poké Mart by entering the phrase below and save the game. The clerk behind the counter will then inform you that the Mystery Gift system has been activated, and it will be accessible from the main menu from that point on.

thats what i did , i activated it , but when i go into the main menu of the game it says pokemon mystery gift not activated. Do i need the e reader ? / or gameboy wireless adapter?

Thought I'd leave a how-to for folks on a Mac that are trying to mainly play the game with a Flash Cart like the EverDrive GBA Mini but found themselves here.

My gameplay setup:

• GBA
• EverDrive GBA Mini (SD card: “EDSD”)
• GBA Pokemon ROMs

My tools:

• Mac w/ SD Card Reader
• R4 (different SD card: “R4SD”)
• NintendoDS
• Loaner *real* Emerald cart (friend’s)

My goal:

• Edit my Emerald save file content to enable Mystery Gifts (easy enough?)
• Use the tools I have (less easy)
• Don’t want to spin up am emulator for a more feature-full Windows sav editor (now we are in hard mode)

My solution:

1. Download latest savegame-manger from code.google.com/p/savegame-manager
2. Install the latest NDS MysteryGiftTool from https://github.com/suloku/savegame-manager/releases/
3. Copy both of these to the R4SD
4. Copy my Emerald save from the EDSD* to my Desktop
5. Copy that save to R4SD as well (I just made a folder for game saves at the root)
6. Put R4SD into the flash cart and put that in the NDS with a loaner Emerald cart
7. Boot up the NDS and select the R4 (NDS game) from the DS menu
8. Run savegame-manager.nds
9. Backup loaner Emerald sav to R4SD
10. Restore my save (Step 5) to the real Emerald cart
11. Reset the DS, select the GBA game, and ensure the saved game loads (it does!)
12. Reset the DS again and select the R4
13. Run NDSEventTool.nds on the real Emerald cart (now with my save)
14. Copy the modified sav file R4SD to my EDSD
15. …
16. Profit

(Oh, also restore the loaner sav file to the cart)

*(not explaining how to find EverDrive save files here)

When I go to the main menu, the Mystery Gift option does appear. However, when I try injecting the Old Sea Map, it says that I do not have Mistery Gift enabled. Any help would be appreciated

Acording to bulbapedia, both mystery event (ふしぎなできごと) and mystery gift (ふしぎなおくりもの) are available in japanese emerald by entering the correct phrase in the pokémart. Which is enabled your game ?

Mystery event phrase is :

1. ふしぎ
2. できごと
3. わくわく
4. ドキドキ

Mystery gift phrase is :

1. ともだち
2. いっぱい
3. ふしぎ
4. つうしん
