Pokemon Berry Glitch Shiny Zigzagoon JPN GameCube Distribution Download

What Purin has was the multiboot from pokedownload.tgc with the same method ajxpk used to work it on an emulator, he just figured it out long before us. He was just teasing it to make us think he had the original.

HAHA! Oh... that's good to know! I guess that changes a few things about what I thought what likely happened. Yea given that, i think it's unlikely we'll ever get the jirachi disc

@Gridelin I remember that! at the time I was thinking i can't believe this distribution has been on my hard drive for half a year and I never realised it.

So I've been talking with the person that originally dumped this disc, and he has access to two November 2003 discs and two December 2003 discs; which he says do not contain any pokemon related files on them. He is of the belief that the accessible version of this distribution must be on the February 2004 disc that @YoshiMoshi has, but that's just his theory. I'll update if I hear anything else from him haha!

Based on the files found in the japan shiny zigzagoon we can conclude that Jirachi was a gamecube disc. This is very odd. We would expect a cartridge since it's just one distribution, because there's not much need for the space available on a gamecube disc. So like you said, given that it's on a disc, it's likely that there's more content on it than just the one distribution. Perhaps demos for other games, other distributions and so forth. Perhaps a demo for pokemon channel.

Sorry to double post, but one of the guys from GameTDB pointed out to me that the 'pokemon ruby sapphire timer bugfix 2003.1208' has an ID of RELS01, and that most leaked development games have this ID pattern. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=RELSAB&redirect=no

So I think the chances of finding a disc that did this standalone from a user point of view are very very slim.

Thanks for the information about the December and November 2003 discs. Is there any way he can dump them.

I don't have the variant of 2004 Febuary. So I don't expect it to be accessible from the menu, but hidden like on the non variant January and March ones which I can confirm are hidden.

I don't have the Febuary variant, I have the invariant one, so should be the same as the non variant January and February discs, with it hidden

Just discovered that this is a thing, there is almost no knowledge about it online. Could this possibly have been needed to activate the Berry Glitch ZZ distribution event?

It's possible, now you mention it though the GameCube has a real time clock so i'm wondering if the demo disc detected a certain date / time it would load the alternate menu with the distribution unlocked.

That's probably more likely than my theory! I was just thinking maybe the game needed a certain save file or something to unlock the content, but your idea seems more plausible based off of what we know about the demo discs.

Negaiboshi Disc here: You can find Meteor as a mega link on the Wishmaker download, and the Meteor I have verified to work. This Negaiboshi disk SHOULD work on Dev Dolphin 5
Why isn´t there a post just for this yet.
It seems to work like a charm, what is the problem?

I think they were going to try and make one master rom that could distribute lots of events, not sure what ever happened to it.

Their is no problem, I had plans to make a disc that could distribute multiple GameCube distributions. Each of these would be translated in to English and have all the images / text changed, so although unofficial would be themed towards the Pokemon it was distributing from a viewpoint of today, looking back on what happened in the past and educating the person using the distribution about the original event from many years ago.

For example this is my Wishing Star Jirachi distribution, based on the JPN Zigzagoon distro:

As it stands at the moment i've replaced all the text / images for a successful distribution, theirs just a lot of different error messages to do, however other than that its finished.

Some people i showed it to suggested it was kept more authentic and in the theme / colour style of the JPN Zigzagoon. So the plan was to try make a more "authentic" distro with JPN text for the Jirachi, which will not be as easy to do.

Either way I didn't want to release anything until it was 100% decided on the best thing to do.

However I will try and sort a thread out for these are they are in the wild anyway, then any user modification such as my one above or a more official looking one can be added as additional downloads in the future.

I had been intending to do some more on this, i've just not had much time these last few months to do so.

Lol what, dude this looks amazing! If people want it to be kept in that putrid off white/yellow state let them modify it themselves. This is near perfect imo

Amazing, the amount of care in that is astonishing :D
