So update: SecuRom 7.37.0012 is still quite painful. Aparently the OEP section of the dat file is encrypted and I can't decrypt it without an 'origional cd' or in this case a working set of files.

If anyone who had a working beta is willing to zip/upload their files for me I would appreciate it. (Possible that it's just the .dat file). I've got a web server, so I can have you upload it there.

For now, no major progress.

muumoo, thanks for the info, but I already have paul.dll where it unloads itself completely. It no longer exists in memory after the initial check for serials. The CD check is still happening somewhere else in the code and I'm almost positive that it's the .dat file.

When I asked for the folder, I did not mean the registry file, I meant "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Red Alert 3 Beta\" It is about 900mb give or take (I have extra files in there so it coule be less). Which is why I was offering my server to store it.



EDIT: On second thought, anyone with a good serial willing to try the paul.dll from before? I ought to work the same as the untouched one, but it will confirm for me that the CD check is not in paul, but in the dat file. Please let me know if it works.

I dont know if this is relavent. But I had a copy from fileplant installed on my vista 1.0

I activated but then vista broke. I reinstalled xp and just clicked the exe in the main folder it launched without a problem. So in my view I dont think it needs the registry.

-edit: Nope, I still need a activation-serialkey, but I guess that it's impossible to get it working.

Maybe someone could upload his complete RA3 (WORKING) folder, just rar it, and upload it somewhere.

Red Alert 3 is now out and cracked, meaning the activation has been cracked. This could mean that the crack be used with the beta version and if anyone is still interested in the Beta for whatever reason (I know some people collect betas) it might be interesting for them to post up how to crack it so it can be played.

In the mean time there is a Poll which everyones feedback would be very much welcomed on, its about whenever or not you intend to buy the game with the DRM in it?

In the mean time, what an adventure, almost 1,000 replies and over 400,000 views. It's a shame with all these people helping out and high interest, a crack was never released in time. We hope those of you all spent the time signing up may continue to visit, you are always welcome elsewhere on this forum (there is content outside this thread ) as well as the Arcade to play some games.

I think its clear there are two types of crack needed:

One to install the beta (either CD key or modified installer or self installed via .cab files)

One to enable LAN play because there is no way to play online on the Gamespy servers without a valid CD key.

If someone who has installed RA3 Beta could please test the crack attached.

Once someone has confirmed how to get it working I want to tidy this thread up with a guide on how to do it. We just need someone to confirm what crack works.

The goal is just to get the beta working on either lan play, or skirmish so everyone can enjoy this. And by the fact EA released an update to "block" the LAN crack proves there is one out their.

Hi i have done this with your crack....but the problem is when i start the game it says "no disk inserted please insert original disk of red alert 3".....with two option retry or quit....

please help me...i want to play this game...i travel many site and download many file but nothing works...please i really want to play this game....help
