Hey. Thank you very much for the fantastic tutorial, really useful. Now I mention a problem I have.
I can not play video files, except WMV. Could you tell me the steps to fix it or a link to a tutorial?
    Excuse my poor English! :)

Well I think I screwed it even more. Tried reflashing it again. Waited 2 mins and now it won't turn on anymore. Any resolutions to this? Or should I just sell it?

I am wondering do I need to install that old 2007 xbox 1 data file to play xbox games using this dash still?

You need to install the media update from here: https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...optional-media-update-download.html#post21344

You can fix your console by soldering a usb nand flasher to the motherboard, that is the only fix now as you can not boot in to anything to flash your nand.

Follow the part of this tutorial that talks about restoring the Xbox 1 backwards compatibility: https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...rd-drive-restore-avatars-xbox-1-emulator.html

Thanks nutter if my original nand wasn't good is it still fixable? I updated it a while ago and it worked. from 8255 dash I believe to 1299. If I were to take it in to someone do you know how much I would pay max?

Yes i presume you have a backup of your hacked nand if you followed this tutorial, along with your CPU key.
As for cost its really what ever someone will charge, could be £5, could be £50.

Awesome I hope it works. Sorry for all the questions. But even if I didn't backup properly if the person opened the xbox and re-jtagged it or what not would it work without my nand backup/dump? prior to the failed update?

It will work its just a case of spending some time sorting it out, they can use a doaner nand from another console of the same revision with your CPU key if you had nothing (never done this personally however you can find tutorials on Google). They shouldn't need to do that though as you have a nand backup and cpu key, any files can be extracted with that, would just be a case of re mapping any bad blocks.

    Damn!
So my jtag couldn't boot I screwed it up pretty bad. I tried this tutorial got e79 then I tried again and it wouldn't boot. So I took it to the original modders that I did my jtag and I got this email
"Hey we tried but we weren't able to get the unit to boot. Even with the stock nand u provided on disc"
I provided the nand as well as the cpu key and kv
I guess there is no more hope?

Yes, just download XeBuild for 14719 and the 14719 data.
