GameCube Interactive Multi-Game Demo Disc 14 [Berry Glitch Shiny Zigzagoon] Download

I tried 1292 for something else, except that version just ran everything several times faster than normal and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it to not go above 100% speed :s

I found some images here of the UK Berry/Zigzagoon distro cart and system. It seems like they've apparently been sold before. This is one of the older distros, which is why the cart is much larger and it's sealed into an original GBA instead of an SP.

Edit: For comparison, this is how the Aurora/10ANNIV/Aura Mew carts look like, and this is how it looks sealed into an SP. For both cases, the carts are just the types of dev/proto carts they were using at the time.

I didn't even Solder it haha, I got a slightly physically larger battery (I think a CR2016), and just let the cartridge casing hold it in place haha, works like a charm.
Yeah, that usually works too, I just like doing clean and permanent jobs when changing batteries.

[SOLVED]

Hello!

I have a question and maybe someone can help me. I downloaded this Demo Disc, I tried it with Dolphin and everything was ok.

Today I tried to use it on a real GC with Swiss and here I had a strange issue. The ISO file boots normally, but in the list of demos/videos I can't see the Zigzagoon distribution.

I thought that the rom was corrupted, but I checked it and it was ok.

I tried also with the V16 Demo Disc, same issue.

...Maybe the problem is that my GC is PAL, not NTSC, and somehow the Zigzagoon distribution is locked. Idk

EDIT:
Ok, I find the problem! On real hardware the "Pokémon Special Gift" option is shown only if there's a Memory Card inserted into GameCube.

If nobody said it yet, I confirm that (like the UK GBA ROM I also used) the Zigzagoon Distribution in this disc works also with non-english/european carts (I tried it with my Italian Pokémon Sapphire).

The message on-screen said that the berry program was already updated, but the distribution still worked.

Yes, I've used this on a Wii perfectly fine. Just ensure you use an official GC to GBA cable. 3rd party cables don't work with Nintendont.

On the off chance anyone is curious:

I started looking into all of the GameCube demo discs for hidden files (not just Pokemon). I ran across this thread here which mentioned that the encrypted .zip file on Demo Disc 14/15 has the Password of "pokemon". FIX94 says the following in that same thread:
Now the .tgc on root and the .tgc in the zip dont match up so they probably have some texture/text differences, the .dpf is a file which I think actually was a file printed onto the original gamecube discs so I guess at one point they had discs dedicated to just fixing that bug and giving out that shiny.
As far as I can tell, he is correct. It appears every part of the .tgc file in this zip file is identical to the one on the disc except for the warning/error screen messages.

Here is an example of the warning screen on the retail disc:

Here is an example of the warning screen on this version within the encrypted zip file:

All of the other differences I could spot were just like this, everything else byte-wise is identical.

You can extract it yourself from the .iso file in the main post if you want (or download my attachment here), the file name is rubysap-timerfix-1219-10-eng.zip. The password is "pokemon" lol.

P.S - it is pretty crazy to be posting again in this thread almost 10 years after my initial post here. This thread was actually one of my introductions into Pokemon preservation all those years ago :)

Certainly an interesting find, thank you for sharing!

Its surprising what ended up on pressed discs back then. I'm sure I remember reading at some point consoles games were sometimes padded out with random data on the disc, to try help the laser seek less when loading data, although don't quote me on that.

Pretty nice this thread originally got you interested in Pokemon Preservation all those years ago! I find it crazy this thread started almost 10 years ago, it really doesn't seem like that long to me in all honesty.
