Pokemon Gen 7 Local Distributor Download – Local Wi-Fi / Infrared Pokemon Distributions

Hi, I just wanted to know whether or not you can obtain events outside of your region of residence. I was interested in a few events distributed out of my country and was hoping I could get them through checkpoints.

It depends on the event, you should look up the particular event on Bulbapedia and see what regions it could distribute to: List of local event Pokémon distributions in Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon

I think pretty much all the local event distributions in Gen 7 are region free however.
 
So, I'm trying to install Checkpoint, but after I install it within FBI the same way I did the Local Distributor, nothing is appearing on my home screen. Am I missing a step along the way?
 
Have you ever installed Checkpoint in the past and moved it in to a folder? it might be there if so.

Another thing I can think of is you might have reached the limit of 300 3DS installed titles? less likely but I know some people have done this, nothing else will show on the home screen when you do.
 
No, I have not installed checkpoint before. This is my first time. And I have not yet reached my limit, and my sd card has plenty space.

So I've managed to find out where checkpoint was installed to onto my DS. However when I upload the files into the folder as prompted the extdata does not appear for checkpoint. I have held B in checkpoint to refresh as well, with no luck.

Also, is there a discord server for this community?

Hello!
I'm getting nothing but 9000. I managed to get 3001 at some point but i don't know how to re-trigger that.

Things I tried.
  • install with godmode9
  • delete every network connections
  • airplane mode on and off
does anyone have any idea how to make it work?
 
The Nintendo 3DS online servers have closed down since the Local Distributor was posted. Its only possible to use it with the save states now, or the user made distribution saves people have made.
 
I know but even if i start offline with save states, still it gives me error 9000.

I think it needs to go online once to make it work. Can someone export save data (not extdata) so i can recover and test it :D Currently im in "throw everything to wall and see what sticks" mode.

I got it working, I don't know what made it work:
  • Using FBI: I deleted some hidden files that generated by macOS like .1 .infolist.txt etc. in ext save data
  • Using FBI: I deleted secure value.

Now I can get into distribution not started page, but i haven't done a dist yet.

I downloaded the cia onto my brothers 2ds xl with fbi but when I open the app it crashes the 2ds I've tried uninstaling it and installing it again but it's not working

Try updating Luma3DS if you are on an old version.
If you are using any plugins, try disable those.

You can update your configuration (B9S, Luma, FBI, etc) following this

same thing kept happening to me on my new 2ds xl, but trying it on my sister's normal 3ds xl worked perfectly fine, so it honestly might be an issue with the new 3ds's. also worth noting that the gen 6 distribution app worked completely fine on my new 2ds xl.
