Xbox 360 Jtag or RGH Hack Easy Update to Dashboard 17502 with XeBuild GUI

Hi InsaneNutter, Great tutorial!!
One question: I have RGH but I do not have the original nand dump so I did it with the nand i extract from the xbox. I did every step (without problems) except write the new nand created by the xbuild because I am afraid of break down my xbox. what do you recomend? do you think its gonna be ok or not? sorry for my poor english, thanks for your time

It shouldn't do, however like with anything their is always a risk. Something could have gone wrong when you built the image, it could however be perfectly fine.

Like with anything i have tried to make it as easy as possible for anyone to follow, that does not however mean its risk free.

Hi insane nutter

I did followed all the steps however when I boot my 360 it doesnt boot as normal..btw I don't have a DVD drive on my 360 what can you suggest that I do..

If you can get a DVD drive you can try powering the 360 on with the eject button to see if you can load Xell.

i dont have the original dvd drive for xbox 360 can i use a laptop dvd drive to open my 360 fr the dvd drive?

I just updated my firmware using this guide and everything seemed to go fine. My dash is now reporting 2.0.16547 and all my games work. Only problem is that I can't run the official system update now :( I have extracted the official update just as instructed to the root of my fat32 formated USB stick, but once I plug it in to X360 nothing happens :( The storage shows up in my setting and I can browse it with my file manager but it wont update :(

Rename the folder to $$ystemUpdate and place the USB drive in the Xbox 360, after a few seconds on the Microsoft dashboard it should pick the update up and ask you to install it.

Hi again. I did it and it works great!!! thank you very much for the tutorial and for your help. Great Job!!

Hey InsaneNutter-

I updated my jtag to 16547 and now I get e71 when trying to go to the NXE dash using the guide button. I have tried reflashing with my backup nand and problem still remains. Can u help me with this? Thanks

With the network cable plugged in, power on the console with the eject button and let Xell load.
Then go to the consoles ip address in your web browers and download your raw flash, build your hacked nand with this dump and re flash.
Hopefully it should sort the problem out.

Thanks for the tutorial.

I've followed it to the letter and managed to update my dash to version 16547, however I am unable to install the Avatar and Kinect data from USB,

I've tried renaming the update folder to;

$SystemUpdate

$$ystemUpdate

$ystemUpdate

$$ystemupdate

it's still not loading up at start, I've done this on a Fat32 formated USB, any idea what might be the issue.

Thanks for your time.

Hey i'm totally new to this nand and all :/ when ever i open nandflasher360 as you mentioned to.. but after pressing dump nand it would show "No nand Found" something like this. It won't even show what is the size, name of the console?

Power the console on with the eject button, Xell should load. Ensure the network cable it connected, then you should see an ip address in the network config:

Using your web browser on your PC go to http://192.168.1.99 or what ever your consoles ip address is, you should be able to download your "raw flash" from the console.

Do that and use it as your source nand to build a new image, after that has done follow the "RGH Xbox 360 Nand Flashing" and flash the nand to the console using Xell as show on the first page of the tutorial.

I have a JTAG I try to install this version but I failed ecaue when I try to dump mu NAND it says NAND unsupported or an error has occur.
