That's what I thought, but I've made it twice now. Going to try a full format of the drive then create again with a fresh download of the boot creator. If that doesn't work, I'll find another flash drive.
Update:
It was the flash drive... not sure why but most of the space that was taken up is just gone. There is nothing there, not even when I'm showing hidden files. Yet when I format it FAT, it's missing like 1.3G of space.
Used a different flash drive and all went well and as described in the original post.
Question about backing up save data of the old drive...
Can I use a USB Enclosure for that part?
Nothing on the drive to start with... I emptied it before doing this.You should have no where near 1 gig of the drive used, what is actually on the drive? it should be pretty much empty.
