Pokemon GEN3 Legit Event Pokemon Save [Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen]

lol imagine if it started raining like, super hard

Thank you to @Deoxyz and Misdreavus for this nice little gift. The save will be updated in due course, with hopefully some other things which have not yet made it in to the save.

So we have a new contribution from Misdreavus at ProjectPokemon. It's a full set of all JAA 10 ANIV pokemon, plus two 10 ANIV Celebi, which were all obtained by Misdreavus personally at the JAA event in 2006. With this, we finally have the full JAA set untouched. It's also nice to have a full set all from one person.

Do you have the original save file?

Do you have the original save file?

No. Misdreavus had these stored in Pokemon Box on GameCube, and transferred them to a fairly new savefile only to easily dump them.

I'm not sure why the savefile would matter though.

I'm pleased to be able to share the largest update this savegame has had since initially posting the first version back in 2016.

All credit for this update goes to @Deoxyz who spent the time I didn't currently have to make this update possible, based on my own experiences keeping this save up to date I can't imagine how many hours have gone in to this total reorganise. So thank you for giving this save a much needed spring clean!

This update contains at least one all current Gen 3 events which have been contributed or released, including the very extensive Japanese collection shared by Afepoke (Pokemon GEN3 Legit JPN Event Pokemon .pk3 Downloads).

Everything has been legit checked by private tools which are not currently in the public domain. Please keep in mind Pkhex hasn't been updated to legit check many of the JPN events in this save, so don't be alarmed if they don't show up as legitimate, Pkhex should be updated in due course.

The first post of this thread has been updated with the events in each box, along with new in-game screenshots.

At this point its probably easier to list the event Pokemon that are not in this save we still need:

Japanese:
  • STAMP Absol
  • STAMP Pichu
  • Sapporo Pikachu
  • Hadou Regirock (plus more Hadou Regice & Registeel for research)
  • PokePark Jirachi
English:
  • ROCKS Metang (untouched)
  • 9 of 12 JEREMY
    10000.png

  • More of any PCNY events

Looking back over the last 2 years I think its fantastic just how many Gen 3 events have been able to be preserved, whenever I think it's unlikely anything else will make its way here that seems to happen and we get a little bit closer to obtaining at least one of every Gen 3 event Pokemon.

This truly is a community save game, so i'd like to thank everyone who has contributed to this, regardless of how big or little. It all counts and you have all made this save as fantastic as it is today, for current and future Pokemon players to enjoy.

So do visit the first post of this thread to download the most up to date version of this save.

This is insane. Thank you for everyone who contributed to this save file. I was young and far away to get anywhere near these distributions. This is a dream come true.

Thank you again and keep up the good work!

I didn't really keep track of the time I spent on the revamp, but it was many hours here and there among several days over the last couple weeks. A lot of thought went into it. I knew the save was severely outdated, particularly after Ahiru's Wonderland became widespread public knowledge. Regardless the general organization of the save was something I always felt required a well needed improvement. I had brought the idea to InsaneNutter that could I give it a try to revamp the save and get it up to date, come to find he had similar ideas but hadn't had the time to do so.

So basically the majority of events we may obtain in the future have empty box slots, which will make future updates very simple. The only events that may require a bit more reorganization is new PCNYs and if we get close to all JEREMY. Regardless I have ideas for possible simple solutions to this, which will require nothing near as large of a revamp as this ever again.

The only blow the save took is we recently found out our only public ROCKS Metang was a hack, but passed by us for a long time due to the legal PID. Specifically, irregular trashbytes revealed it was a hacked 10ANNIV/10 ANIV Articuno, which explains it having a valid event PID. I could have left that slot empty, but I felt @arjunnnn's evolved ROCKS Metagross is a good placeholder in the meantime. Of course it can be reverted to "untouched" state, but since this save is for 100% original legitimate events, we didn't want to include anything that has suggestive legitimacy. I personally don't have a problem with reverts, but of course I understand why some people do. So I hope we can get an untouched ROCKS Metang contributed, as well as the other missing events listed above and in the main post.

I noticed a discrepancy in Event Savefile 1.
The Espeon contained within 10A PotD has the ID '00010' (JAA) as opposed to '06808' (PotD).
I'm not sure if this is intentional or an oversight, but I thought I'd mention it regardless.

Thanks a ton for reporting, that was definitely an oversight. It must've happened due to a simple mistake during categorization of pk3 files. I checked for other mistakes, and it seems this was the only one.

I've moved that Espeon into the JAA overflow box in Savefile 2, and replaced its slot in Savefile 1 with an actual PotD Espeon from my private collection. I've sent the updated files to InsaneNutter, so he should have the main post updated fairly soon.

Could I trouble @Deoxyz with a request for a "reverted, untouched" ROCKS Metang?
If it's possible to revert it legitimately, I'd let it fall within my grey area definition of legitimate.
(English Faraway Island Mew is where I draw the line at legitimacy, personally)

I don't think I have a revert saved on my computer, but it's not hard to do. All you need to do is open the savefile in PKHeX, right click on to view the pk3, change the species to Metang, then revert to level 30, all IVs to 0, base friendship, and original moveset. I don't think I'm forgetting anything, other than to double-check if it has any ribbons other than the National Ribbon. Then right click again to set the edit, or export the pk3.

I'm still hoping we can get an actual untouched one eventually though.

You might want to zero out the trash bytes too, otherwise you will end up with invalid trash bytes.

I know that zeroed out trash bytes wasn't how it was distributed coming out of the distro, but if trading to Colo/XD clears trash bytes anyway as I've been led to believe, then this would probably be the most legal you can get it to be.

Fantastic guide! thanks a lot for sharing. I will be sure to add this Jirachi to the next version of our Gen 3 save.

I wonder if the Jirachi will go though Pokebank if traded up to Gen 5.
I'm aways s few days for work, so I can't try it out. But if no one else tries in the meantime, I'll give it a go when I get back home.
