Red Alert 3 BETA [Download, Keys and Information]

Ok... We're a bit busy please hold. Anyway, I tried creating the big folder and messing with the installer files. As it is, I think the installer files may actually be a :, and I just missed it as I was going through (apparently, the 3a,00,00,00,00,00 stands for :, and I didn't see that the colon was already there.)

Need to do some other work briefly, but I'll be back in about 10 minutes.

Update: creating the big folder and messing with the installer didn't seem to do anything. It still asks for internet connectivity. Moving on to the other three sections.

BTW, the big folder has a call for something called Apt.big. Is that modified at all during the verification process? Or, for that matter, anything in the Core\1.0\ folder?

@FandomofHell
Kindly check SecuROM changes, also have you tested it out yet? If it keeps on asking about getting online, don't go online compare reg. files with what Lavarider provided. Backup your current registry then populate the missing keys if it still asks to go online, we need the SecuROM files and more to fill the holes. I'll just check back from time to time need to do something. I wont begin my test until you've gone a lot further.

And yeah if you req. files pull it from the extracted installer also have your process monitor handy to check the missing link.

@Demonik
Kindly check back from previous posts paul and mini-me has already been poked with.

That'll include his key. Are you alright with me using that?

And I also still have f*ckyouROM installed. I haven't screwed with that yet.

Im okay with you using it to experiment SO LONG AS YOU DO NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET!!! Also, any successful crack must not contain the key. other than that, go ahead and experiment with it.

Ok, I'm a bit stuck. Importing the registry files did nothing (had to change some values, since I installed the RA3 Beta in my I drive and my C drive is actually my D drive... -_-), so could you please send me a copy of the Core\1.0\Apt.big file and your RetailExe files? I don't know if that will help, but you should probably also send a copy to psychophat.

I'm asking for the Apt.big because that seems to have a connection to the strange, missing, big folder in ComDLG32.

Edit: Ah, the registry tree would probably be helpful for my search as well, if that's alright.

Check your other computer you should have under the core folder of RA3, the Apt.big file is 33MB. How did you install the game the core files should be populated with the big file during installation.

No, I've got the files, but I'm wondering if there is something different between my versions of Apt.big and Lava's. There's also the issues of differences between the pauls, if there are any.

He said if he did a straight copy from his normal to his test that he could still play. That leads me to believe that there's something else at work beyond just the registry.

Edit: Or something is missing from his copies of the registry or there is something deleted from the registry that we can't find...

... BTW, what the hell is http://link.ea.com/drm/service.jsp?submit=0&providerType=d? I don't understand what that is. Why would EA have it? Is it a critical piece of the puzzle?

i'm guessing if we had the right coding sequence it would send back a license but we still dont have a way to inject it into the game. useless....

I'm useless with SecuROM. I'd be better toying with the main RA3 Beta files, if it's alright.

Edit: I don't need all of the RA3 Beta files. Just the RetailExe main files (not the cursors, of course), and the Apt.big (most big files, to my knowledge, correlate with an aspect of the game, such as terrain.big. Apt doesn't seem to make sense, so that may be an essential file).

APT. big is essential. It holds all the menus and stuff for the game. Its the one that needs to be modded to activate LAN mode.

That's it! I know one of the things I need to do now. Thank you so much! (I might already have a copy of that that is unlocked since one of the people created an unlocker. If I install the menu unlocker on the other computer that might help a fair bit.)

Oh, and if you could still send a copy of the RetailExe files to psychophat and I, that'd be great. Thanks!

Edit: That might also explain why the reg. files for its location are missing beforehand! It's because the menu isn't recorded until after the activation (EA uploads the location to the computer), which leads to the main menu (MAYBE).

@Lavarider
I'll begin my test after I've checked your registry. I'll just wait for it and get a run down from the process monitor.

Sorry for the wait...do you have a specific set of reg keys you want, when I try to export the whole thing it start B***ing at me ...

@Lavarider
Sorry was away for awhile, do you still have the SecuROM folder under your Program Files? If so could you tell me there names. You can disregard the registry I've manage to verify on the other screen which is which.

psychophat, did you discover any discrepancies that I missed in the registry? I'm stuck comparing the two registries over and over again...

Oh, yeah, I'm also trying something else with one of my laptops and a copy of my original RA3 beta.

Ok. I'm stuck. The registry doesn't appear to be the key (at least, from the files Lavarider provided us), and, according to what he said, those were the only registry keys he swapped to his test computer (that's correct, right?) The only thing I can think of is requesting for either SecuROM files or the RetailExe files from Lava... T_T

Edit: Oh, I can also go online and hope in the off chance that EA doesn't screw us over, and I can get registered files. XD JOKING!! I'M JOKING!! Don't kill me, Lava! Please!

Ive never had securom entries under my program files area. Ive emailed the retailexe folder to you Fandom.
