Upgrade a Jtagged Xbox 360's hard drive, restore the avatars and Xbox 1 emulator

Nothing noticeable at all, you might get the odd second improvement on loading here and there.

Hello I have something to ask before i buy it tell me if u know the WD10JPVT 1tb 5400 2.5 is ok ? or i have problem

i am already j taged jasper 256 v4 with 13599 update 20g the old one not dash launch yet but i install to new

Try installing Dashlaunch, that sorted out Xbox 1 games for most people that had problems: https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...-freeboot-9199-12611-12625-13146-13599-a.html

You can also disable system updates in the newer versions too, the installer should guide you through a lot of the setup. Dont enable the content patch as it messes DLC / arcade games up.

I installed dashlaunch and everything worked perfectly! i am now playin halo1 yyayy. thx a lot insanenutter!!

Quick question. I just got my xbox jtagged and updated to the newest dash 13599. If I use the official update from microsoft 13599 to update my hdd for avatars is it safe. I just don't want to mess my jtag up. Thanks.

Yes, if you use the official system update for the dashboard you are on it will just restore the avatars / kinect data.

Sorry to sound so noobish here but i too have just updated from a realy old dashboard to 13599 so if i reinstall 13599 official update from MS will that make my jtag a non jtag even though i have 13599 dash running already but i too do not have the avatar option available it says i need an update.

Again sorry if it sounds noobish im just scared of ruining my jtag which i adore so much.

TIA.

G.

As you are on dash 13599 you can run the official MS 13599 update, just never run anything newer than the dashboard you are on.

I got a 60GB HDD to my JTAGGED console, i wanna buy a samsung 1TB SATA2, after i run the update, can i copy the files from the 60GB hdd to 1TB hdd with xplorer?

I've been searching for this answer but cant' find it anywhere... i have a jtag on 13599 dash. just bought a 1tb upgraded hard drive and now i have no avatars. found a guide that indicates i must format drive and then update with official ms dash 13599 dash to get avatars and kinect. BUT i'm worried about doing the official update and having it reflash my drive... i know this official update reflash non jtags drives but i'm not sure if it updates jtag drives...

i know with a jtag i dont NEED a drive however i have a large collection of disks that i might want to rip in the future...

any advice?

I don't believe it does as your not actually running the system update part that does, your simply restoring the avatars / kinect data. The update will just presume your drive is flashed as you are already on 13599.

will this work with JTag with dash 2.0.13599.0? thanks( I upgraded internal hard drive to 1.5TB and lost avatar support)

i added a 1.5TB drive to my Xbox 360 JTag,and copied the contents from my 120 gig drive to it and is shows in the system memory as being 250Gig drive with only 129Gigs free and in freestyle dash as being a 1.5TB with only 129Gigs free.(i got my Avatars back working)

backward compatibility is not needed anymore right? i think it's integrated with new dashboards...

Nope you still need backwards compatibility, its not integrated with any dashboard.

Are you sure? Because if you search "Backward compatibility" on official microsoft site they say "Update to last dashboard and play all your games"!
