Using an Xbox Live profile on a Jtagged / RGH hacked Xbox 360 and staying safe

guys plz....i cant get a direct answer anywhere,.,,,i just bought a jtaged Xbox360 and i just want to download my profile..can i use the download profile option and then sign out of xbox live at the same minute???
no games at all....just download my profile....is it safe???...

You wont be able to do that regardless, a Jtag will be banned before you even connect to Xbox Live. If you want your profile on your Jtag you need to download it on another Xbox 360, and save it to a USB Memory stick.

edit: never mind...i signed in from the nxe and it turned out fine....thx allot.man.....u helped alot....LET THE GAMING BEGIN...;)
 
What if u already logged into FSD then took ur profile on XBL
then deleted that profile and re recover it, would the data be
re written from your profile or is it saved to be viewed in hex
forever?

You have already synced the data to the live servers, so will be there when you recover it.

If you recover the profile from live I don't think things like emulators will show up on it, however people have been profile banned for signing in to live with achievements from emulators on the profile.
 
I need some advice from an InsaneNutter.

I never use FSD on my RGH, but last night I accidentally exited a game to FSD (as I was holding X on the pad randomly - I should have removed FSD shortcuts in Dashlaunch!). I turned the box off at the wall, but I assume that FSD has infected my profile now.

What program should I use to see if the FSD GPD is part of my profile? Also, what is the best way to TRY and delete traces of FSD from my profile before I use the profile on Live again? Recovering the profile is simply not an option I'm afraid. I've made my choice. I WILL resync this profile on my stock console, I just want to have the best chance of not getting banned. So should I a) do nothing to the profile and risk it, or b) try to delete the FSD data from the profile and risk making my profile even more suspicious - profile hacking/boosting etc.?

Thanks for any help. I've been a bit smug up to this point as I was following the RGH rules to the letter, but one random misplaced finger and I'm booted back to FSD even though I never use the thing. :(

You can either delete the profile and recover it from live, or sync the profile and hope for the best.

I would personally not go tampering with it, from what ive read most tools that edit your profile make it pretty obvious to Microsoft you have tampered with it.

In the future the best thing to to is sync your profile often, or make backups of it often so you can easily recover from an accident like that.
 
Thanks. How do I make a backup? Move the profile to a USB stick presumably (it usually lives on a 360 memory card), and use something like Modio?

Yup, if its on a USB device just copy it to the PC with your fav program for accessing the USB device, then if you need to copy it back at a later date you can.

I downloaded Horizon or something and it infested my PC with all kinds of crapware. In the end I just synced my profile with Live. Didn't get instabanned at least. I then deleted my profile and recovered it from Live. I'm hoping that Live just deletes any crap in the profile which is not valid/'corrupt' (e.g. FSD GPD) when syncing or recovering (as long as no achievements have been gained). Looks like I won't be banned, but we'll see.

Hello all,

I have inserted a god game (I have converted the iso game with iso2god to god format) into internal hard disk (xbox360) with xexmenu. After it I have started it from original dashboard. When the game is at introducing screen i have logged in my profile.

My question is:

Is it safe for my profile when i will update it to live?

If this way is right can I use it for arcade (xbla) games? or I will be banned?

Is there any profile problem if I log to my profile from the original dashboard or I go to the original dashborad with my profile on?

Because original dashboard is not homebrew ....

Hey guys I've been searching around for a bit trying to find the answer to a question with not much luck or solid opinions.

If I load a game through FSD (on a jtag without net access) and sign into my LIVE profile while at the game menu, activate a trainer and unlock an achievement or two, does that....

a.) post to my profile
b.) result in a ban should I swap back to my LIVE enabled machine and use the LIVE profile for game with my friends?
