Using an Xbox Live profile on a Jtagged / RGH hacked Xbox 360 and staying safe

The only thing I have not tested but have no time to test is if the profile will be different when compared with a clean version of the same profile if I load the cheats before signing into the profile.

An example would be with Sleeping Dogs, I go ahead and load the xex that enables the cheats and then activate infinite health and infinite ammo only then to load my XBOX Live profile and start the game...

I did it once with the tekken tag 2 dlc and haven't been banned but I didn't play any online matches and since deleted the save. Question do you play XBLA games on your live profile in JTAG/RGH and update like this article suggests?

So you're talking about keeping your profile safe by backing up to USB, transfering it to a unmodded console and logging into Live with updated profile? I would need 2 consoles then one Jtaged and one unmodded one.

I'm not interested in homebrew per se, but like the idea of imports (JP RPGs :-) ) and increased HDD/SSD space.
Would this "Staying XBLive Safe" guide work for a dual nand mod where it's an "unmoded"/jtagged console in one?

ie. Get achievement, backup to usb, flip switch to clean, upload achievement.

Sincerely,
David P.

Hi guys,
Are you saying I can safely connect to xbox live with my RGH/JTAG xbox and original game DVD?
Please correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've read on this thread, I understand that I can go Live with a JTAG if I use certain profile only on NXE dash.
My xbox boots to FSD only if i connect my external HDD, also I don't care about achievements much, I have a dummy profile for offline use.

Thanx

You can not connect to Xbox Live on a Jtagged console. you can however use your Xbox Live profile on a Jtag (offline) to get achievements or system link games.

does dlc obtained by download on a dual nand rgh system using demon switch, affect the non rgh nand? if you use seperate profiles for each nand?

basically if the dlc was downloaded and you use it for the stock nand, will problems arise?

It will just show up as corrupted on the stock nand, i personally wouldnt go on Xbox Live like that although i dont think anything will come of it.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Was just weighing up the possibility of buying a dual nand slim and selling my falcon jtag (1tb) and non-jtag (live safe) falcon.

I think i'll just sell the stock falcon and buy a new slim

Nice tutorial InsaneNutter! :)

Is there any solution for unlocking online achievements on RGH console?

Not without cheating no, best thing to do is save your profile / saves on a USB memory stick and play online using a non modified console.

@InsaneNutter

I asked this question awhile back but just want some reassurance. So I can play downloaded paid dlc content offline on (RGH with live profile doing the sign in, sign out trick within the game) then log into my legit xbox 360 (Unmodified Console) with live profile and be fine?. Same with active and delisted XBLA games (Doing the same trick?). I understand that homebrew (Including FSD), beta games, pnet and any other emulators will get my legit xbox live profile account banned for 99999 years. Sorry to sound like a parrot. To this day, I still haven't played one single XBLA on my live account, on my RGH console. Thanks again!

Yes you can do that fine as your profile will never be signed in when any homebrew app is loaded up.

Hi InsaneNutter,

Could you write a short tutorial, how to compare the not modified profile to the modified one?
How can i copy my profile to another usb stick (make a duplicate) and extract it to my PC?

(Please excuse my poor English)

Anyone know if the autoswap setting that was added in dashlaunch 3.02 is safe for a live profile? I will use it with the NXE dash.

hey Nutter, i got a question. in the RGH FSD, it's got that built-in Install games from DVD right?

say instead of using the NXE2GOD container, and play that built-in installer and use the same process of signing in after the game start, will there be any modifications since I haven't seen you tested it?

  1. Create a profile and play a game on it that doesnt save to the profile e.g. Full Auto, games like Modern Warfare save data to the poofile so as usless for testing.
  2. Extract it with Xbox 360 USB Storage Explorer
  3. Place the USB stick back in the console and sign in again
  4. Load the game using what ever way you want to test
  5. Sign out
  6. Extract the profile again
  7. Compare in a Hex Editor

It should be however i cant confirm 100% best bet would be to test it yourself, i have no games that swap disc to test with.

That is basically the same as starting the game from Freestyle Dash / XEX Menu, you will be fine as long as the profile is signed in AFTER you have loaded the game.
