You can't connect to Xbox Live on a Jtag / RGH console without paying for one of these services that appear to get you online. Most people have two consoles, one for Xbox Live and one for mods / offline use. As mentioned in the post above yours.

but I thought you said you can connect just dont sign in while using homebrew or xex menu etc.....

ok so I did some research and It looks like a dual nand is what Im looking for it lets me play online while modding etc..... kinda like good side bad side

You have misunderstood this post, its about using an Xbox Live profile on a hacked console, not connecting to Xbox Live.
 
What do you mean run FSD? My console is programmed to start up wtith FSD... So what do i do about it? Is there anyway i can erase what fsd modified? Im so confused
 
You should have an application called dash launch on your console, you can disable FSD starting in that. Be aware though you can only load games that are in Games on Demand (GoD) format then, from the internal hard drive.

DOes that mean I cant play any burned cd that i have? Or original Cd?
Then what? Does the Original Xbox dashboard modify the xbox live account back to where it was before?
 
If you have already loaded up FSD with your live profile signed in you need to delete it and recover it from Xbox Live. As explained in the original post you can load games from disc fine, or from the hard drive as GoD containers. You can also use FSD and just sign your profile in once the game has loaded, however you must be sure to sign out again before exiting the game (which you probably will forgot to do at some point, which is why i don't recommend using it if you care about your live profile)

So it's better to ahve like a fake profile to play with FSD?
 
Hi everyone, I read all the posts and I just have one question, is if still safe? I have just bought my rgh console this week and I want to use it to play the games that don't como to this continent, I have another xbox console to play my original collection and live. I just don't want to get banned because my account is too valuable, at least for me haha
if I follow all the advices am I gonna be safe? I just play games on the original dashboard, that's all.

P.S. IN a kind of related question, can anyone tell me which plug-in do you use to play multi disk games using GoD games in the original dashboard without risk of banning?
 
If you play games as GoD's from the MS Dashboard you will still be fine, essentially everything in this post still stands.

As for multi game disks you can try this Disk Swapper plugin for Dash Launch, you will be fine with that if it still works. I personally don't have any games that require me to swap discs so dont use anything.

i use iso2god for my games but I play them in the original dashboard, that is ok, right?

and how can I recognize a modded game? Is there a tool or something? Thanks
 
Yes, your doing exactly what i have been doing for 5 years now, you will be fine.

Basically a game will never be modded if you have dumped it yourself or converted an ISO.
 
Thank you InsaneNutter, for everything. I download the isos and convert them, but I also have downloaded some games already in GOD format, are they ok or are they risky? and some are iso extracts that I convert to iso and then to god, is that ok? I have not played them yet.

If i download de games from forums is there any risk? most of them are isos and iso extracts just some of them are god format. I play them all in god format in original dash, u just use fsd to transfer the games that is all.
I have had mi account like for 8 years so i dont want to lose it but there are so many games that dont reach my country ...
 
just to be sure, if the game is in games on demand (*god format) and I just use my profile in the original dash, always offline, I am safe right? I have it in my usb pen. I never use anything else with my live profile, all the FSD and XEXmenu activities are done with an offline profile inside the xbox 360 slim (i have rgh), mostly transfer games. I have FSD installed in HDD, the same to dash launch and XEX menu in a usb, is this right? sorry for all the questions but i have so many doubts.

I use:
Create iso and iso2god to make my *god games.
 
If your using ISO's these *should* be untouched, with Games on Demand games it would be easy to taper with these, however i'd imagine most people don't to be honest.

Using FSD / XexMenu or any other homebrew should always be done with an offline profile, so you are doing it all correct.
 
If I follow the rules do you think my account would be safe? I want to play those foreign games and of course gain achievements but I do not want to lose my 8 year Xbox live account, my gold membership and of course my digital collection. But if it is safe I will play happily those games. Thanks a lot
 
Hello, i tried to do the same experiment with an original disc I have and a god game i downloaded (i converted it from an iso), and they were different (the live profiles). Is there a difference between disc vs god? I need to do a god vs god to be sure? thanks
 
Now i tried with an original *god game and a downloaded one and I got dis match.

It is the same live profile, i copied it and then one played the original god and then the downloaded one and they are different.
